You’re about to watch an episode of my vlog series called Marie Unplugged. These videos are totally different than my award-winning show MarieTV. Vlogs by nature are raw and off the cuff. So wear headphones if kiddos are around because adult language is likely. Enjoy!

Over the weekend I was talking with my best friend about how important it is to break free from monotony, in every part of your life.

It’s good to laugh as much as humanly possible. Click To Tweet

Sure, systems and habits can be immensely valuable. But so are freshness and spontaneity.

Your best work can’t be forced, it must be set free.

That’s why for the next two weeks I’m releasing new Marie Unplugged episodes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the first new episode is up below.

If you want some classic MarieTV episodes (dammit 🙂 ) we’ve got you covered. There over 320 badass MarieTV episodes here.

It’s great to see you take time off! Kinda like when you’re a kid and you believe your teacher lives at the school and only wears “teacher” clothes. Then you see them one day outside of school and it’s a “mindblown” moment- they are a real person too!
    Enjoy the summer months!

Aww, absolutely Liz – millions of smiles is what we’re all going for! We’re happy that this episode of Marie Unplugged spoke to you 🙂

Let’s move it ;). endless luv from Portugal.

  52. Love this dose of real life from you Marie.
    No make up.
Sure, it’s a fab house in an expensive place but that is hard won – and everyone watching can find a beach of some kind, or a park, or a tree, and a friend or two and a dog or two and eat something yummy…
    it’s the LOVE that matters.

    • Julia - Team Forleo

Glad you’re enjoying seeing this side of Marie, Cheryl! You’re so right – love, nature, good food, it’s really what we all need…the simple things. Sending big love to you and thank you for continuing to be such a wonderful part of our community!

  77. Chloe

Guuuuurrrrlll! That’s some really good video making!! It feels like a parallel movie to my own summer in the city/hamptons/anywhere close by ny with a beach, chilling with friends at the beach, making guacamole (mine is with cilantro), drinking wine, dancing silly. I wish I had your video making skills! I have been watching your ‘classic’ marie tv movies for a while but im loving this episode of unplugged. thanks for sharing! xx

  78. Lisa DiPrete

Listen, paesana, that was so Italian it made me cry a little. I’m living away from home, and I guess I miss my people. Thanks for adding some dolce vita to my day. Looking forward to more of this.

  81. Lilith

Smiling and crying from all the joy both hooman and doggy and the Italian Grandma accent and wisdom that brings my dear “Noney” back so poignantly! You go, Grandma! Marie, you are one of the people to whom she refers ~ namastè and thank you for sharing all the goodness and putting your creativity into the world in this new dymanic way – what fun! Woof!

  82. Congrats Marie! IT’s been awhile. SO glad I checked in. I love this! You’ve elevated your peeps’ connection to a level that feels more like an experience, via sharing your LIFE Experience. This is bright and warm and funny! Thank you for sharing your journey. I’ve loved your show since waaaay back in the brick wall days! Good Works!

    • Julia - Team Forleo

Aw, thank you so much for checking in S.B.! It’s wonderful to have you along for the ride throughout Marie’s journey and all the different phases of our show. We truly appreciate your kind words and feedback and are so grateful for you continuing to tune in!

  83. Absolutely love this! Thanks for inspiring. Looks like the best fun ever. What camera are you using for your new vlogs?

    • Julia - Team Forleo

Hey Brianna! We’re glad to hear you found this episode of Marie Unplugged inspiring 🙂 For these videos, Marie’s using a newer Canon DSLR, 80D.

Since Canon DSLRs can be a pricey investment, if you’re looking to do some vlogging, we encourage you to shop around and find something to suit your specific needs and budget. Marie initially shot MarieTV on a laptop computer in her house and then slowly grew and evolved our MarieTV process to be what it is now. We just wouldn’t want anyone to feel they need to spend a ton of money on equipment to get great content out into the world!

Hope this helps and thanks so much for watching 🙂

      • Hey hey Julia!

Thanks for the reply. You rock. Yes, I’m loving these lots. Really inspiring.

I love your encouragement. That really helps. I think I’ll stick with my trusty iPhone and go from there. I’d love to get a smaller canon at some point. Or even a a fuji or lumix handheld. I saw a great tutorial on YouTube about a camera that instantly uploads images and video to your computer or icloud via wifi. Cool beans!

  84. Loved it, Marie!!
It’s fun to see you are “one of us”, lol
It’s all a balance, it cannot be work all the time…
Like you, I try to make my work fun. But it’s hard to “unplug’.
I loved the conversation with Grandma: It’s great to laugh AND I also found out there are some awesome people in this world… Like YOU ( and may people you introduced me through MarieTV)!
    Cheers, darling!

  85. Hey Marie,
That looked like an awesome vacation, city life can take its toll… thanks for reminding us to layback and savor the simple moments 🙂

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

The simplest moments can truly make the biggest difference. We hope you have a beautiful week ahead! 🙂

  86. KellyAnn Callahan

wholly cow! Way to make a Long Island girl miss home! I just moved from New Orleans (French Quarter) to Baltimore so be back on the east coast(yesterday!)….but there is NOTHING like Long Island Beaches in the summer~nothing! • Mandy - Team Forleo

So true! Beaches are good for the soul. 🙂
Congrats on your move! We hope it was smooth sailing and that many new adventures await you in your new home.

  87. Laura

You are a beautiful soul Marie.

  88. Elizabeth

Great content and beautiful production, as usual…. I’m not saying your hard work and high standards come easy bc you have ties to Hollywood and professionals who work in the industry, but now it makes sense!!! Thanks for the peek into your life, complete with my favorite character I ‘love to hate’ from Ray Donovan!!! I love that he’s your sweetie! And I also loved the cameo from mama gena! Your stuff is awesome… that was fun ?

  89. Lyne

Cheers to good people, laughter and salt.

  90. I loved this – I didn’t want it to end. Savouring these special moments is what life is about. I love your grandma. She sounds like a fun and wise woman!! Xxoo

  91. Love this – so beautiful! So in need of a get together with old friends! xoxoxox Love what you do Marie.

  92. Charlie

Lovvvve these unplugged videos, Marie – your authenticity and wholehearted goodness shine through and bring a smile to my day. Keep ’em coming!

  93. Dear Fantastic Marie,

Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. You continue to amaze me with down to earth, honest reflections. And permission to just BE.

    Much love,

  94. Dawn

Your grandma is just “delicious” as we say in Jersey. 🙂 It is clear where you get your positive outlook on life. What a beautiful soul she is. Thank you for sharing. Please keep these coming!

  95. These vids are so so sooo good. It’s Marie practicing what she preaches. It’s her testimony to the fact that not all ‘stuff’ we do has to be for any reason other then the fact that it’s DAMN fun! Such a good sweet finger-licking reminder. I’ve actually turned off the last 2 weeks: spent a little more money on fun and travel to chill with family and friends, and been turning down my intense work out schedule (okay, truthfully that’s because I am injured and was told I needed to stop running on my twisted ankle by my sports therapist), but by doing less, or more of ‘whatever’, I’ve laughed so much more, been less stressed and have actually had time to just ‘be’ in the sun – (side note, I burnt my chest real bad! God bless coconut oil). Anyway, Unplugging is so thugging!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

I hope your ankle heals soon, Laska, though I’m so glad you’re having a lot of fun with the people you love in the meantime. Let the good times roll! 🙂

  96. Love it – Love it – Love it!!! This is great 🙂 Just being. Thanks Marie!

  97. That was quite refreshing to watch! Thanks for sharing, Marie! 🙂

  98. Marie, you’ve always shared yourself so authentically on Marie TV that it’s easy to love you and feel like you’re a good friend. But it’s also great to be “invited” to hang out with you outside of business hours to just play!

  99. Love it!
    2 questions:
    – Did your (blonde) friend used to be on Hell on Wheels?
    – How did your pupper do with the fireworks?

  100. Love it!! Great to see YOU. ?❤?

  101. Thanks for letting us in Marie! There’s so much simple, delicious goodness here. The goggles cracked me up! I’ve been known to wear my ski goggles while chopping onions for chili – it totally works! Thanks to Katie’s tip I will try chewing gum the next time I chop.

  102. Brian {Buddha Brian} Hernandez

I Love This…The Unplugged Is Very Funny, Keeping Things Real…Your The Best, Big Hugs, Brian ??☺️

  103. Tracy Donnelly

How divine a gift- your offering of your treasured real moments. The joy, the happiness ever present and clearly a core part of your being. You Marie offer so very much, and you just keep giving thank you! Just like your grandma said- there are people that make the world better— that is for sure you.
    Enjoy the ride

  104. Lovely!
However, you’re getting pretty fancy with these ‘unplugged’ vids. Looks like a lot of production, lol.
Cheers and THANK YOU you lovely beautiful gal & friends

  105. Justray

I think your energy and constant smiles is what is such a draw for me. Unplugging is something I have been dreaming of for a very long time. Maybe next week. We’ll see.

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

That’s so kind of you to say! Marie has talked about how unplugging and taking breaks to spend time with the people she loves refuels her creative energy, so we hope you’re able to unplug and have some time off too, even if it’s just for a little while. 🙂

  106. Super cute… and happy, happy, love, love. xo

You are daily representing an awesome balance of yin and yang, of stupendous ethics and rock solid getting amazing shit done on one hand and being absolutely hilarious and clearly of goofball island stock on the other. Yes, please.

So much fun and you really have inspired me to a better, more full expression of me day to day… so

  116. Kelly

So awesome! 🙂 those conversations with grandmas are priceless. My grandma doesn’t typically have such an optimistic view of people in the world, but I do my best to redirect the convo.

PS. I have found that when I cut onions with my contact lenses in, no tears. Joy! So if anyone out there has contacts, cut your onions while you’ve got them in!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

I’m so glad you’re there to cheer your grandma up, and I hope your warmth and positivity rubs off on her.

That’s a good tip about cutting onions with contacts! Thank you for sharing it. 🙂

      • Adelina

Hi Mandy, Hope you are doing well. Which camera is Marie using for this videos?
Its a fabulous image! Thank you,

        • Mandy - Team Forleo

Thanks, Adelina! It’s a newer Canon DSLR 80D. Though since Canon DSLRs can be a pricey investment, if you’re looking for something to do some vlogging, we encourage you to shop around and find something to suit your specific needs and budget. 119. Makes me remember what it was like before we had kids. ALMOST getting back to this stage of fun late night dinners with friends…now that the kids are older. Great to see Marie as a regular person.

  120. Anachen

You all look like a ton of fun! Enjoy the off-time.

  121. Lea

Dear Marie, I think the thing I love the most about these “Marie Unplugged” episodes is how much fun you have making them. They are not only fun to watch, but stir something in me that I don’t yet have words for… I can say however, that the piece with your grandmother made me miss my grandmother so much. It made me laugh and cry. Thanks for all the ways you inspire and spark us. Love you dearly.

  122. Priya K

Power quote from grand ma ! Love that.

OMG! So good to see that I am not the only one wearing goggles when dealing with onions!!!
Love it! We can learn so much from even such short clips about your attitude and be inspired by it!

  129. This just made me so happy 🙂 Love these!

  130. I love you Marie!!!

  131. Stacy

    Love it!

  132. Marie-Louise

Thank you Marie, wonderful times !

  133. Love, love, love Marie Unplugged! Thank you giving us a behind the curtain peak at your real life. You are just as awesome being your “private self” with Josh, your sweet pooch and friends. I’m a newbie entrepreneur and you’re an inspiration – always look forward to Tuesday Marie day!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Thank you so much, Laura! It’s been really fun to share these happy behind-the-scenes moments. Being an entrepreneur is hard work, but there are a lot of fun moments too. We’re so proud of you for starting your business! Go you! 🙂

  134. Janelle

Love this, Marie! I’m a fan of everything you do and this is no different. Looking forward to the next one!

  135. Started to watch your vid …and remembered this update about having our DOGS LICK our FACE…so here is the Article I read… from the LBN Elert! Monday, July 31st, 2017
*GROSS – The deadly reason why you shouldn’t let dogs lick your face
Affectionate dog owners are at risk of catching a potentially deadly disease. While the man’s best friend are great at cheering their owners up when they’re down, they may be responsible for threatening the life of their keeper. An expert completely dismissed the myth that a dog’s mouth is much cleaner than a human’s. Dog expert Marty Becker said: “All you have to do is look, watch, smell and you’ll realize that is not true. “They raid the garbage can. You know, we give each other a peck on the cheek when we say hello, they give each other a peck on the rear end.” The friendly animals who love to lick faces can and do carry a long list of bacteria which can severely impact human health. John Oxford, professor of virology and bacteriology at the Queen Mary University in London, explained how the beautiful creatures get bacteria in the first place. He said: “It is not just what is carried in saliva. “Dogs spend half their life with their noses in nasty corners or hovering over dog droppings so their muzzles are full of bacteria, viruses and germs of all sorts.” The strong bacteria have the power to cause a range of dangerous diseases, some deadly. Capnocytophaga Canimorsus is a bacteria that lives in a dog’s saliva. PS… you are a special TV SHOW LEGACY SOUL that should have a SHOW called … MARIE KNOWS BEST…. Like FATHER KNOWS BEST… So I hope this inspires you …and yes check up on the LBN Update …. Blessings

  136. Love it, thank you for this sweet peak into your world.

  137. Kellie

THIS IS THE BEST! You are adorable!!

  138. I love these videos!! Spontaneous and it’s wonderful to see all the love surrounding you. I’m curious how you’re filming? Computer, iPhone, camera? Keep them coming. Thank you. ?

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Thanks, Lisa! It means a lot to us that you’re enjoying these behind-the-scenes peeks. Marie is using a Canon DSLR 80D, though you can absolutely use a phone or laptop camera. DSLRs can be a little pricey, so we definitely encourage you to choose something that fits your needs and budget. You can always scale up over time. Marie filmed the first episodes of MarieTV using her laptop’s built-in camera.

      • Lisa

Thanks for the info Mandy. xxoo

  139. Patrizia

Thank you for the reminder 🙂

  140. Dylan Ann Spradlin

That was great fun, left me with a warm and happy feelings.
    Thank you!

  141. Amanda

Oh Marie! I love these! I have been a follower for years and I rarely comment, but I just needed you to know that this was adorable and I think you have a beautiful soul! Thank you for sharing!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

You’re so kind, Amanda! We’re so glad you commented. We’re grateful you’re in our beautiful community. 🙂

  142. You’re inspiring me Marie. Now I want to make short films like this.
BTW… May I ask, what is the name of that beautiful song played on the piano toward the end of this short film?

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

That’s a really good question! I’m not sure myself… it could be one Josh made up on the spot, though if we can find out we’ll follow up. 🙂

  143. Sarah Cox

It is so cool to peek into someone else’s un-curated life, especially when it makes you smile. Thanks, Marie & Co. Mwah x

  144. Guacamole makes everything better!! Thanks for sharing Marie ?

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

It really does! Guac magic. 🙂

  145. Ryan Jacobson

This video seriously made me realize that we do not have enough fun in our life. Need to get on the fun train. Immediately.
That being said, when can we see Miss Marie in a Pantene commercial? Because that hair!!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

The fun train is pulling into the station––all aboard! 🙂

Haha, a shampoo commercial would be pretty cool!

  146. Joy

I love everything about this!!! It’s so raw and real – like I was one of your friends right there with ya. Super jealous about the beach but so happy you are having fun! Always inspirational and always yourself. I love it and can’t wait to be like you someday. “I’m her!!”

  147. Ann

I loved watching that! I can’t wait to see more. Cheers to making cool things!

  148. You know what I really like about ‘ubplugged?’ It’s the fact that ‘it,’ (unplugged) matters. Taking the time to appreciate what really matters outside of conventional work routines, expectations and other life patterns.

It’s so easy to forget (!) as the pace of life can occasionally grow a bit out of control (!!). We have no choice really – we have to unplug! Or die!

It was great to see the interaction among you all Marie. The interaction between friends (including the furry, fourlegged kind), a phone conversation with great advice and all the cooking, music and chatter!
Just plain, ‘ole’ feel-good!! Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

So true, Resi! Work-life balance is necessary and essential to well-being. We hope these unplugged videos inspire hustling entrepreneurs and anyone who’s working their tail off to practice self-care and spend time with those they love.

  149. Jacob

Wonderful time and lots of salt “Yikes”

  150. I enjoyed this so, so much. Thank you for doing this and for having so much fun making it…the joy and love glows through and I can feel it!!! Xoxoxo Can’t WAIT for more ❤️

  151. I always look forward to a slice of life from Marie! Simply THE best. Thank you.
    Love your grandma!

  152. Teresa

Love this!!! Need the basil guacamole recipe please!

  153. I freakin Love Marie Unplugged Thanks For The Smile <3

  154. Creativity at its fullest. Pretty, pretty, pretty. : ) Keep going!

  155. Joni

Ok, I got to live vicariously through you. Fun!

  156. Lurve.

  157. Well this was fun. Thanks for making me feel like I was at the party. Enjoy.

  158. Ashley

I may be the only one here, but I am totally NOT digging these ‘unplugged’ videos. I’ve always loved the polished, professional, and yet relaxed feel of the website/brand/MarieTV. I feel like these feel cheap and show-offy, something I never get the feeling with any of the other offerings. Perhaps it’s because I’m not on any social media whatsoever(?), but I because I don’t particularly care what people (famous and not) do on their “downtime” (as I find it all so completely self-indulgent). No more unplugged’s for me. Bring back Marie TV please!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, Ashley. MarieTV isn’t going anywhere, so new episodes will still be made and the library of over 300 episodes is still available for you to check out anytime ( This is an experiment that Marie is enjoying doing, so Marie Unplugged episodes will come out in addition to MarieTV.

  159. Laura

Love these unplugged videos, definitely do more! xoxo

  160. PepaC

I loved what you wrote in the e-mail: “we can continue to remind each other that we have the power to fulfill our dreams, the chance to advance the dreams of others, and the awe-inspiring opportunity to create a braver, kinder world for us all”. Thank you for sharing your joy, I believe it’s a way to create that kinder world.

  161. Oh my word – I love these – simple inside peeks. Thank you for sharing

  162. What a heavenly trip you took! That scenery was gorgeous. Made me relax, just looking at it.

And your grandma is so fun. <3

  163. Love, love, love. So much joy. And your grandma made me cry. There truly are so many good people in the world. Thank you for everything you give us, Marie and team. x0

  164. Gary McCowan

Simply great chillaxin’ and enjoying summer and friends Marie! Good on ‘ya! Just moved to a totally mellow place and took a lower paying but stress-free job and life is GOOD!

  165. Unplugged=Unmatched=Universal. Beautiful visual of what let it go looks like! Keep it comin’ Marie along with those pearls of wisdom from Nana?

  166. Louise

SO nice to see the “real” Marie, with no make up, just relaxing and chilling. LOVE it.

  167. Michelle

    I loved it!

  168. A reminder that the simple pleasures are the best!

  169. Judith

I Love these videos. It is so fun 🙂

  170. Adelina

Hi Marie, Thank you for sharing!! Please tell me which camera are you using? It looks great!! Thanks

    • Kirstie Smallman

I’m going to hazard a guess based on my experience that it’s a Go-Pro? My some shots looked like she was using a lap top cam too.

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Great question, Adelina! I responded to your comment above, but I’ll post it here too in case others are wondering. 🙂

It’s a newer Canon DSLR 80D. Though since Canon DSLRs can be a pricey investment, if you’re looking for something to do some vlogging, we encourage you to shop around and find something to suit your specific needs and budget. Marie initially shot MarieTV on a laptop computer in her house and then slowly grew and evolved our MarieTV process to be what it is now. We wouldn’t want anyone to feel they need to spend a ton of money on equipment to get great content out into the world.

      • Adelina

Hi Mandy, Thank you very much for your answer. But I meant the camera she is doing the videos with while traveling, I don’t think its the big canon camera, is she? Thanks again! Adelina

  171. Awww, thank you for being so open and inviting with us (hearts)! Giggles and guac with great dogs and friends who dance in the kitchen to live piano – not sure if there is anything better 🙂

  172. Linda Ferrin

Loved seeing some of my favorite people (and doggies) having so much fun together!

  173. Allison

Love this! And so happy the neighborhoods that I call home you find time to relax and enjoy with friends! Thank you for all the inspiration and reminding me to have fun and enjoy life❤️

  174. Just pure loved this. Thank you.

  175. Khadija

    Beautiful! Love it! XX

  176. oh, Marie, I adore you! How I’d love to get together with you for Hollywood gossip and hot yoga (cause it ain’t a party unless sweat is involved!). You bring your basil guacamole and I’ll bring my favorite Seyval blanc wine from Bellangelo’s (it’s a winery on Seneca Lake you absolutely must visit!). Keep killin’ it, sister!

  177. Noreen Green

Love that! I’m feeling for some guac today.

    Thanks Marie!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

I know, right? I had to run to the grocery store for avocado supplies after watching this. 🙂

  178. Kameela

Pure lovingness (not a word but mine today!) all over! Keep sharing these vlogs…as much impact as always Marie. Grandma brought tears and laughter. Thank you for that. Muah

  179. Angela

    Absolutely love your ‘unplugged’ project.
Watching these little clips, I sit there, sigh, and think – thank God they’re just human, too. It’s a really helpful insight, which makes me feel like “yeah, I can be my own boss, do this business thing, change my life”. Why? Because it shows us the unpolished, non-make up, non-rehearsed, the messy REAL back story. I can connect with that.
(and still enjoy and treasure Marie T as well!!!)

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Right on, Angela! We believe in you and are so glad you’re feeling empowered to build your entrepreneurial dreams. Entrepreneurs are just regular guacamole eating, grandma loving, dance break taking folks. 🙂

  180. LOL…smiled through the whole video 🙂 Thanks for letting us in to share some of your personal life Marie!

  181. Oh f*ck, Marie! I know laughing as much as humanly possible is absolutely the bomb-diggity, but these Unplugged episodes are making me just CRY… with delight. But cry, literally. It is so, so, so, so so empowering to see you just doing real life. Because as helpful as all the B-School and MarieTV episodes are THIS, THIS is powerful sh*t for knowing this first-class life and business I love is dimensional, and beautiful, and possible, and enjoyable, and FULL of goodness. THANK YOU!!!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Yes, Beth! You got this. The world says hustle-hustle-hustle nonstop, but you don’t have to give up dancing and family and good guac to make your dreams happen. Living life and having fun is all part of the process and fuels creative energy. 🙂

  182. Daniel

    Hi Marie

From the very first video that I have received, to me you have a most fantastic vibrant happy attitude that in today’s time is very difficult to find.

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

So glad you enjoyed it, Rina! Taking breaks to have fun can really make all the difference, so we’ve got our fingers crossed you’ll have a vacation soon, even if it’s just for a little while.

  184. Clifford Meurer

Life is being lived well! May it be so for ALL!

  185. megan

    hi Marie,
I absolutely loved this post. Your friends look like so much fun and I love the spontaneous piano playing. Effervescent and positive energy everywhere throughout this video. Agree with the “laughing as much as humanely possible” and your footage of both dogs made my day.

  188. sharon

    LOVE this! Thank you :=)

  189. I truly enjoyed this marie. I laughed out loud and loved the doggie kisses, and plan on making the basil guacamole! You have inspired me for the past few years, and seeing this side of you make me love and appreciate you and what you do even more. Cheers!

  190. That was totally fun! Thank you!

  191. Lorena

    Are you Fkidding me???
Just when I think you can’t be more raw and honest… you bring out these!!
And above all that rawness… awesomely produced, beautiful people and great music…
The grandma, the dog, the guacamole, the Regena… I mean, come on! You had me at “hi”
Love you lots. Thank you for being you.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Thanks for inviting us into your delightful life. Nanny was my FAVORITE!!! Thanks again. Basil guacamole….YUM!!!

  195. I love this, Marie, thank you!

  196. Marie…Marie …Marie….I often get “territorial” with Guac, why? Because I’m from Mexico and I believe that gives me the authority to do so…hahahaha. Initially I thought, oh no…what is she doing…but I’m curious! I love basil…so I’m curious to find out how it tastes…I will find out soon. I love my Guac very simple (all green ingredients : cilantro, avos, lime, salt, Serrano peppers (well..salt is not green))! ) Thanks for sharing your videos…and a piece of your life ! You’re such a huge inspiration; it’d be one of my dreams to be able to take your headshot…I only live across the Hudson river…so call me when you’re in NYC. 🙂

  197. I can’t decide which I like more, so I like both formats equally. So much fun. Love that you have the confidence to share your world with the world. Very inspiring.

    • I plan to keep on doing both Stephanie and have no doubt they’ll wind up informing and shaping each other 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting!

  206. Jurate

    Love it, Marie!
I love your TV – plenty of superb advises but the unplugged series – as if honey to the heart. And not necessarily because you are kind of closer to our skin and going straight to emotions (from marketing perspective) but the videos look live, inspiring and very warm.
I guess ‘simplify to amplify’ is the mantra of today’s.

    Sending you many hugs,

  207. Anita

Oh my goodness listening to granny made me tear, so heart warming<3. Love Love Love Marie unplugged 🙂 x

  208. Maribell

Love it! sooo raw and real. This is the genuine life! Keep them coming. Short and sweet.

  209. Kellie Sue

By the way, (cuz I already commented…) your grandma sounds like mine! She’s been so sad because her boyfriend of 26 years just passed away from cancer. I miss him too, because he was a grandfather to me, and we were close. But she’s looking for another boyfriend — not for sex (which her words) but to hold hands and watch a movie with, and to bake peach pies for. My Gram’s mother owned a diner that was famous on Route 66 back in the 1930’s – 1940’s, and according to my grandma, there’d be a line on the road a half mile long just for my great grandmother Blanche’s pies and cinnamon rolls. I love her stories about those times.

  210. I love these unplugged videos! You’re so special Marie. And, how adorable is your grandma. 🙂

  211. Wow, that made my heart so very happy! Thank you Marie for sharing such sweet private moments of your summer with those that love you. ❤️Now, how the hell do you make that delicious basil guacamole??!! Share please!!!

  212. I smiled the whole time watching this. Love.

  213. Oh Marie! I just looooooooooove you and your vlogs. You make me aspire to live life to the fullest every day. Thank you for being such a light in this world. Much love!

  216. Carrah Trimble

Hey Marie! Love these vlogs! What type of Camera are you using?

    • Julia - Team Forleo

Hey Carrah! So happy to hear you’re loving these episodes of Marie Unplugged 🙂 Marie’s using a newer Canon DSLR 80D for these vlogs.

Since Canon DSLRs can be quite an investment, if you’re looking to do some vlogging, we encourage you to shop around and find the best fit for your specific needs and budget. Marie initially shot MarieTV on a laptop computer in her house and then slowly grew and evolved MarieTV to be what it is today. You definitely don’t need to spend a ton of money on equipment to get great content out into the world!

  217. KG

It’s wonderful to see the raw, uncensored and sassy side of you Marie!! Getting unplugged is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.

Thanks so much for the kind words, KG! We hope you’re able to find some quality “unplugged” time this weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

  218. I want to cook that! It looks so tasty!

  219. The College of William & Mary — the second oldest institution of higher education in the U.S. — has named Katherine Rowe president, making her the first woman to fill that role.
