Today, we’re serving up something fresh out of the MarieTV kitchen — it’s the MarieTV Live Call-In Show!

One of my all-time favorite things to do is answer your questions “live.” When B-School rolls around each year, our Live Office Hours calls are one of my favorite aspects. Those Q&A sessions are epic — sometimes, I’m fielding live Qs for six hours a day.

So, I’ve been craving a way to bring that rapid fire vibe to our weekly show.

On today’s episode, we tackle seven tough questions from a wide range of creatives.

Be brave enough to be yourself. Click To Tweet

You’ll hear from a cellist who’s burnt out on auditions, a distracted copywriter, an agency owner who’s ready for a transition, a mom of two who was laid off, and 3 more incredible entrepreneurs who bravely stepped up to ask their most pressing questions. Have a watch and learn:

Reminder: when I’m live — it’s raw. Wear headphones if you have kids nearby. Likewise, skip this one if you offend yourself with adult language.

  1. WOW Marie – “Time chuncks”…I love it.
I have a tendency to “faff” about. The notion of “time chunks” made me get my diary and immediately “chunk” out my day for tomorrow. What a wonderfully efficient way to use my time.
Thank you always for sharing your wisdom and experience.

    • Caroline - Team Forleo

Time chunks are THE best! We’re so glad you enjoyed this episode, Annette ♥ 🙂

  2. Maria Brennan

Marie – these topics are so important to me and I appreciate this opportunity to learn. But as I’m watching this video, what has stolen my attention is your gorgeous lipcolor! Is that your natural lipcolor or is that a lipstick? If it’s lipstick, please share the info. It is PERFECTION!

    • Tammy Crowley

I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed Marie’s gorgeous lip colour!

    • Hi Guys! It’s always a blend and I never remember what I do — LOL. I literally go into my little lip bag (which has about 10 different shades) throw on something I feel, and then tweak if needed. The brands I use most often are from Sephora and Laura Mercier — in the peaches and pinks and some warm reds.

  3. Thank you so much. You offer such good advice. In the episode i felt that ninas question resonated with me the most. Although i dont have kids to look after, i am kind of in a similar situation. Everyone around me made me feel that just because i am working at this particular job i cant work on my dream, it feels so great to hear it from u that this is not the case. Although there is hardly anything good that i can see in my job but after listening to you i feel that it may not be bringing me any good but if its what is required at the moment then why not, i can work-both for my job and my dream even if people do not think so i feel like it and i am glad that u feel the same. Thanks for such great advice whick u r sharing across the globe.

    • Caroline - Team Forleo

Thank you so much for your kind note, Sakshi! You can absolutely work for your job AND keep your dreams moving forward at the same time. We actually did another great MarieTV episode a while back about how a day job doesn’t mean giving up on your dreams, so I thought I might share that for a few more great tips too:

We’re cheering you on all the way!

  4. I love “time chunks” – When I’m on top of it and focused I schedule 90 minute work blocks to get the most important projects in my business done. When I’m distracted and all over the place, I become reactionary and allow my inbox, social media notifications, and text messages lead the day. Of course, if I didn’t jump in my inbox first, I may have missed this email. ?

    • Caroline - Team Forleo

Time chunks are the best, Jadah! … though as you pointed out, jumping in the inbox sometimes isn’t the worst thing when MarieTV episodes are in there 😉 ♥

  5. Nicole

Hi Marie! I’ve been following you for years and I LOVE me some Marie!
I am in the process of starting my own organization business and need to put some routines in place to set myself up for success. I ROCK out on organization, but sometimes need a nudge in the discipline/focus department (what I call “glitter”).

I am watching you LIVE right now and just heard your segment with Amy. With regards to remaining focused, what are the best times in the day to set aside to check emails and partake in those distractions?

    • Caroline - Team Forleo

This is a great question, Nicole! We’ve found that it’s generally best to schedule your most important things first (your big projects and priorities), and save the other things for a little bit later in the day. That helps make sure that the most important things happen first, as all too often those tend to fall by the wayside when we have all the little dings and beeps from all the notifications on our phones!

We did a great MarieTV episode a while back about that, so definitely check that one out for some helpful tips:

Of course this is just a basic concept, and the exact timing of when to check things like email can vary from person to person. Some people might find it helpful to set a timer and spend 15 minutes in email first thing in the morning just to make sure there’s nothing urgent, and then perhaps go through it a little more later. Other people might skip the inboxes until the afternoon or evening. The most important part is giving those emails/ notifications/ social media boundaries (like setting a timer) – that way they can stay on a schedule instead of becoming something distracting all day long!

  6. Laurie Scott

Thanks Marie! That was really fun to watch and so much great information. I learned something from all the great questions that I can apply to my business and life.

  7. Ahhh!!!
So honored to be on this call in show!!! Being able to re-listen to my question and hear your well thought out answer is so much fun–and honestly, hit me even harder this time around. As soon as I answered your call it felt like I had just walked up a flight of stairs because I was in a little bit (okay, lota bit) of fanboy mode. Thank you so much, Marie & Greg, for answering my question and helping me as I transition from working IN my business to working ON my business.

    • Caroline - Team Forleo

We loved having you on the show, Bryce! And so glad that hearing it again resonated even deeper. We’re cheering you on as you’re working on that transition – keep us posted on how it’s going! 🙂

    • Bryce— you did such a great job, and your question was spot on for what so many of us growing a business are working through.

I really really had to comment because our last names are so similar… mine is Elridge! We could totally be cousins! 😉 HA!

      Keep growing and working!

  8. this has been one Best LIVE Q/A i have ever came across. Very practical and on the point advice. Loved the color on you Marie 🙂 You look so full of life and enery which itself is very infectious.. Thank You for a great value for an hour spent

  9. My dear Marie (& team),

if you love doing this like you said then pleeeeeease do more of them!!!
I could not stop myself from writing you a big thank you! You made my day because I can relate with some of those struggles you shared and it is quite helpfull!
And yes, I’m in tears right now so… bye! I need a napkin!

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

We hear you Luis, and we’re excited to do more as well!

  10. Gabriela

What a great show! Love it and felt that I was represented in most os the questions. Right now I am doing a Hyatus in my business tô reformat and see what it really gives me pleasure doing.
Thank you for this videos and all the other ones that help so much!!!

  11. Liça

Ahhhh!! You are so lovable Marie! I love this new format, it’s so real! I relate a lot to Nina’s situation and almost shed a tear listening to your answer! Thank you!

  12. Wow! That last question is so genius! I feel that resistance towards taking on a job for sooooo long, since I was a kid even, and I have been so afraid of failing to build my business, because I know then I’ll have to take on a job. I’ve never been on the job market, apart from doing some student’s jobs when I was young, and I remember me struggling with the idea in my mind about having to show up everyday. That’s mainly because I did not believe in myself, I was always so afraid people would not like me or that I would fail to meet their expectations. This fear kept me paralyzed for so many years, to the point that I found refuge in being an entrepeneur. And I really love being an entrepeneur (God bless entrepreneurship), but it’s not an excuse to not fully commit. It simply does not work that way. I now fully understand that if I want to build my business into a success, I will have to deal with this. Because also in my business, even though I feel more freedom to make my own choices while working, I also have to show up every day and face my fears. I keep on working on my confidence and I know there will be a day when I will either have a wonderful, successful business, or I will have a great job with a firm/organization I love, working towards my dream of having a wonderful, successful business. Go go, Nina!

  13. OMG … Love the Smurf glass :-)!!!! Great questions and good answers. 2018 Goal – I need to learn and train myself to stop responding so fast to emails for clients so that I can get my daily work complete and not be distracted. Can’t wait until the next live call episode.

  14. Tammy Crowley

I am dealing with a cold and decided to take a sick day. I’m so glad that I chose to include watching this video as part of my “take care of me” day! It was well worth it. I plan to implement some of the many lessons I learned and will definitely share this video with friends!

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

We’re so glad today’s episode is balm for your soul! And we’re sending you all the healing vibes so you can get back to your best self and start implementing these nuggets into your world <3

  15. Christina

OH. MY. GOD!!!! THANK YOU Marie for this episode!! LOVE the live version, love you being who you really are because it’s the honesty in your personality as to WHY I was drawn to you in the first place. You’re real! You make it REAL and attainable! Im so motivated every time I watch an episode, I do go back and watch others, I have my MarieTV notebooks (spiral bound paper books where I jot down all the nuggets o wisdom).
I’m so damn scared to take that step from half working for someone to fully working for myself. I will. And I will take the B School real time course. Just like your caller Lucas, I couldn’t dive in right away. But the questions have been lingering and simmering in my mind. I haven’t forgotten about my commitment to me/my practice, just life happens and I ended up having to wait for the right timing, otherwise it’s poop! (“If you have to push it’s probably shit”). So much insight and value in your episodes, every Tuesday I look forward to Marie TV and your team is truly amazing.
You make it possible to keep going for my dreams (like you say) and I will bust out in 2018. Cuz it needs to happen. Cuz I’d rather try than keep wondering “if I could…”
So much love to you and the WHOLE team Forleo!

    • Ah, your words and energy are vitamins to my heart. THANK YOU CHRISTINA!

  16. Kay

I love how you spoke of awareness. I am noticing more and more how people are walking around not conscious of what they are saying and doing and it is a huge hindrance to their growth. As an active Multi-faced Educator/Coach awareness is one of the things, I educate my clients/customers on meditatively, it helps ease change.

Marie and Team thanks for such an amazing real show. (Don’t change a thing) Keep them coming!

  17. This was amazing. Truly. It was nice to hear other people deal with the same blocks I have. I really wish I had done B-school last year. When do doors open this year?

    • Thank you so much for your kind words Dia. B-School registration for 2018 opens Feb 20th, 2018 — we’d be honored to have you!

  18. Love your show, your energy and your advice! You are Awesome!!

  19. Thank you once again for answering my question on the live show. I got some flack from my husband as he said I sounded like a single parent. But I was just so excited. As too is a full time budding entrepreneur, me working has afforded us the stability that you mentioned on the show in your A to my Q. I wish that I could thrive when I am under the financial gun but that is not my personality. Though I do thrive when I have time constraints that force me to focus. The stability my job brings allows me to flourish in my business. Since recording this, I did start the position and the team I am in, everyone is so SUPER nice, accommodating and just a dream team. You truly helped me to refocus my energy and mindset Marie and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you! I am now even more focus on my business and working through several challenges as we speak. But in the same vein, I am reframing the way I see these as obstacles that I need to overcome. Thank you once again Marie! Thank you!

    • I LOVE this follow-up Nina!!! GOOD for you 🙂 Those obstacles are fuel for growth. We *all* have them — embrace what comes and the discomfort, too. Be in it, relish it. It’s making you stronger and more powerful!

      • Sorry Marie, that should have said *As he too is an entrepreneur.

THANK YOU! I will embrace the challenges and be resolved to overcome them and I just appreciate you so much! More than you know. I am an avid watcher. Hopefully in a few years, I will be sharing my story with you on how this was a stake in the ground moment and you were pivotal. I feel and already know that it is. THANK YOU once again!

        • Hi Nina!
Not only Marie and team love your follow up, but also we, the audience. Or well, I think that I speak for more people when I say I love that you gave an extra insight on how the A of Marie worked out in your head and in your life. That’s what I wanted to let you know. Thank you for your guts to send in your question. And of course a big thank you to Marie for your great answer!! Marie, I heard your answer before on another episode, and it has impacted my life:

I’m in sort of the same situation as Nina’s (kids, an husband and a dream) and I was tired of not being able to contribute enough in a financial way to my family and putting my own (im-/material) needs in the fridge all the time. I recently recognized I’m not one of those ‘shoestring’ entrepreneurs/creatives. For an important part thanks to Marie I came to this conclusion. I was always afraid I would give up on my dream or that I wasn’t a ‘real’ creative entrepreneur if I took a side job. It took some time before I really understood Marie’s message, I have to say, and also a good talk with my sister. Some things you need to hear from different sides and people to sink in.

In this time of my life only working as a creative entrepreneur made me only looking for the money in projects all the time and afraid my real creative ideas won’t deliver me income. It paralyzed me. So… I just started somewhere part-time as an office manager and now I feel no pressure to create for money, so that I can develop my own style and ideas. And then, who knows, in the future…

I wish you all the success in the world Nina! And people, always listen to Marie 😉

  20. Marie for the win again! Such good Q&A and I love seeing how you helped those people so much. I’m in a super weird space with my business – I’ve accomplished a lot over the past 12 years but I feel like I’ve hit a wall in terms of my excitement, purpose and future. I’m basically in analysis paralysis and don’t know whether I want to continue doing it, pivot in some way or scrap it all and do something completely different (and what the heck would that be?! Lol). Anyone else had a similar situation and found something that helped them find their clarity?

    • Yes Tiffany, you need to get back in your body. I don’t know you or what flavor of movement inspires you, but for me it’s dance. Sometimes spin. I need music and movement. Your answer will NOT come from your head, you need to get into your heart and YOUR body. Drop into it. Our culture is so “neck up” these days. It’s killing us and our ability to hear, feel and know what we really want. We’re cut off from the vast majority of our vessel which is where all of our deepest knowing lives.

  21. Kasia

Such a valuable episode Marie. Thank you! Big hugs from Berlin, Germany <3

  22. Nina’s question was so great, thank you! I needed to reframe my thinking. I have a day job but it doesn’t mean I am giving up on my dream of building my own company. I am with you sister! I am a relentless mother fucker too and I am not giving up!

  23. Yes!!!! This was fantastic. So many nuggets I don’t even know where to start. Time, focus, tenacity, space, scheduling. All amazing! Also, so many great links to go back and listen to again. MF & Team Rock!!!

  24. What a GREAT episode! It so REAL, so AUTHENTIC! Everyone on this one was/is awesome. Thanks to every B-schooler who participated. After a move back to Canada after my father’s passing and twenty-five years in Costa Rica, the ONE training that I brought back (among many training’s material that I left in CR:-) are my two B-school (2016) heavy binders (full of Marie Forleo/team’s sweat/ideas with mine). I’m going back to it now because I finally began to seriously work on my online business. Thanks and keep creating these kind of episodes. Kudo to the Marie Forleo team!

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

We LOVE hearing this Monique! You know you can always come back each year for the live course as well for updates and even more nuggets of wisdom from Marie, fellow B-Schoolers, and our Mentor Coaches. We’re thrilled to be hanging out in your back pocket, and we’re cheering you as you get back in business1

      • Thanks for your feed-back, your backing up and reminder!

  25. “Life’s rejections are God’s protections” is going to be my new mantra. I’m struggling so much with seeing peers finding the success I believe should be mine as my work gets better and better, but I’m trying to trust the timing of my life and know that I’m also a turtle. It WILL happen because I don’t give up. And I have a new breakfast to enjoy – rejection! 😀 Thank you for this episode and all you do.

  26. Eloïse

    Hi Marie,
My favorite question was the last one, because I also have a 9 to 5 job. It deeply resonated in me.

Since I started taking concrete steps towards my dream, it’s a virtuous circle. I feel empowered and my enthusiasm shows in the workplace too, even though it isn’t my dream job. I am so grateful for it, because my colleagues are wonderful and, most importantly, the cash provided by my income, I used to sign up for a training about professionnal blogging (yes, sorry, I was so eager to take action that I couldn’t wait for B-School to start and signed up for another very interesting training 😉

Marie, thanks so much for everything you do. If one day I feel the need of another stellar training, then I’ll wait and sign up for B-School. In the meantime, I will keep watching your amazing show!

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

‘How you do one thing is how you do everything’ – it sounds like you’re embodying this quote wholeheartedly as you bring the same amount of energy and positive vibes to your day job as you do your business. It’s all a choice in how we engage with the various parts of our lives, and you’re absolutely WORKING it with allowing your 9-5 to fund trainings and education for your dream.

We’d love to welcome you to B-School if and whenever it’s the right time for you. In the meantime, we’re thrilled that you’re here in MarieTV-land!

  27. Dear Marie & Greg & Team Forleo
I absolutely am loving this episode !!!!
I was so touched by your sincerity , enthusiasm , kindness , wisdom and passion.
I started crying when I heard Lucas thanking you for B-school. I could see you get teary eyed and Greg getting emotional ( like proud parents ) I was so proud and so happy for you guys.

You guys are so nice & genuine Marie and I love that. It is just what our world needs today.
Kind decent people who want to make a big difference in the world . Thank you for being great role models ( Marie & Team ) in the world.
Loving the wisdom and going to watch the rest of the episode now

Sending you guys so much love xoxoxo

ps: hope I spelt Greg’s name correctly .

    • You are SO kind Indu and yes, you spelled Greg’s name correctly 😉 We are sending YOU so so SO much love right back. Thanks for watching and commenting too!

  28. Brant

    Marie and Team Forleo,
You are, as individuals and as a team, so tuned in to the world around you and provide us with such valuable content. I appreciate the passion and joy you bring to the myriad of topics you cover and I appreciate your humor and sense of lightness to you bring to topics that can often derail progress.
    With much gratitude,

  29. We shared your first Q&A call at our staff meeting today on the topic of being more productive. Love your advice. Also, side note, we follow your three questions as part of our annual review process ( Thanks for all that you do!

    • This is AWESOME Nicole!! So thrilled you do that and thank you for sharing —- here and with your team! ? ??

  30. Roberta Loufek

Thank you, Marie! Up until this episode, I didn’t know that B School is for life – makes all the difference for me to sign up next time. Prior to this, I was going to wait until my current in-process book is self-published, a related course is done, a website created, etc. because I thought it was a one-time course. Now I see there is no reason to wait, that I can review and retake areas of the course as needed, and in fact what I produce will be higher quality and hopefully won’t need a re-do after taking your course. Can’t wait for the next B School! I know it will be a great investment for my future business.

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

You hit the nail on the head Roberta! When you’re a B-Schooler, you have the program and all the updates we make to it each year for LIFE. That means that as your business grows, you get to reference back to it as often as you need.

We’d be thrilled to welcome you to the 2018 course, and in the meantime, we’re sending you some huge high fives for making so much progress already!

  31. I really love this Q&A version too! So deep and enjoyable at the same time. It worths the time. The answer that resonated to me the most is the “life’s rejections is God’s protection” one. I’m going to write it in capital letters and bright colors. I don’t want to forget it anymore. Thank you!

  32. BernieS

“OPTIMATED” – “the process of optimizing your work output so that it happens automatically”
New Word of the Day! I will use it often.

    • YES!! Who said that word Bernies – did you make it up, or did I? 🙂

  33. Marie, I am one of your OG’s (at least I think I am!) who has been following you since buying your first book…the days prior to you being online!!! I remember when you and Laura presented the first B-School and the video from the bed! All sorts of great things! I resonated a great deal with the question about fear and you stating that your fear when starting was that you were too young. My fear is that I am now TOO OLD to do this.
I have had an incredible career as a CIO…I’ve accomplished a great deal (things that some folks will never be able to do because I was the first) and done some really amazing things. But I am feeling the call to do something different in order to be of higher service to more people…almost as though there is something inside that absolutely must come-out. However, I sit in this fear that I’m WAY TOO OLD, and it has been blocking me. So I am very grateful for that Q&A as I needed to hear every word! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
And someday I hope to hang-out with you and Kris K. because after watching your Oprah brunch video. I swear we were separated a birth!
Much love and thanks to you and your team!
    -Megan C.

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

If you haven’t yet, you need to watch this MarieTV pronto:

You’re absolutely not too old to do what you love, to start something new, to learn different skills, to tap into unused talents. The experience you’ve accumulated up to this point married with this new desire to embark on another journey is the perfect recipe for an exciting adventure ahead.

And as an OG member of our world, you know we’re always here to cheer you on <3

    • Betty in Brooklyn

No way you are too old! Huffington Post ran an article on Women Artist over 75 to Watch. These gals aren’t yet on the art world radar, but they are kicking it! When you hit 100, then consider hanging it up. Maybe.

  34. Reeta

High Five! On fiiiire! Thank you Marie and Team xx If this content were a diamond ring…it’d be the most expensive one in the shop.

    • Reeta

…still blown away, such a power packed q&a. Valuable on many levels, whether in business or not. Thank you for your sensitivity, honesty and humility. I feel this advise will stay with me 🙂 Look forward to the arrival of your book 🙂 x

  35. Jk

    Hey Marie,

Because I am always curious, I googled fictionary, and sure enough, Fictionary is actually a game! It’s a game where you pick an obscure word and the other players have to guess or determine the definition. It changed to ‘The Dictionary Game’, but it is technically actually a word (in a sense) as it’s a name of a game!

  36. Jen

Wow. It’s just amazing to watch Marie in the coaching zone. So inspiring!

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

Watching that fire light up behind her eyes adds that extra bit of magic to her wisdom, doesn’t it? Thanks so much for watching Jen!

  37. Loving all the zones of questions and the how to love know a new team! managers who believe! This was awesome Mario and crew!

  38. ¡Incredible episode!
Thanks to you and your team!

  39. Marie and team – I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this episode and how much it helped – I found the words I needed to write a difficult letter to my coach; I renewed my faith in my work as an artist in spite of rejections – and I even discovered a great communication/organization tool for my artist collective, (yes, I did not know about slack before today!)
Many thanks. You guys rock x

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

This is music to our ears Clare! We love hearing that you’ve already implemented some of the advice Marie gives in this episode – these are major steps and it must feel amazing to have some of that weight lifted off your shoulders.

Keep working towards your dreams and waking up to a nice steaming bowl of rejection for breakfast each morning!

  40. This is the best thing that happened to me today <3 Would LOVE to see more of these. And maybe even get to ask you a question. Your energy is infectious!!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

That would be awesome, Lauren! We’ll announce future call in shows via the weekly newsletter, so we’d love for you to submit a question for the next one. 🙂

  41. Alison

What a generous Q & A session. That Greg is a keeper! I consider myself a sensitive soul too, and what you said is absolute gold… something along the lines of: “part of our gift is our sensitivity, after 17 years, I wouldn’t say I have thicker skin but a larger perspective.” Thanks so much Marie for being exactly who you are. ❤️

  42. Wow, I loved the honest answer about taking a job and the fact that it doesn’t mean you are giving up on your dreams because essentially what I do is help others ditch the 9 to 5 as a business coach, so it’s really around aligning yourself to the right timing and getting yourself into the right frame of mind before you ever quit your job and go full time in your business and the prospect of going back and forth in the process!!!! Eye opener! Tx for that. Absolutely loved this episode!

  43. You are just too much fun! Beautiful, smart , connected and blessed! Keep rocking it, Marie! xoxoxox

  44. Betty in Brooklyn

Thanks for the splendid psychology of “eating rejection for breakfast.” As an artist, and a single boomer, this hit home for me. I’m reframing my rejections, both personal and professional as a badge of honor on the path to finding those special people and who need that gifts THAT ONLY I HAVE.
A few weeks ago I couldn’t get a cork out of the wine bottle, so I went outside, figuring that a millennial would momentarily be coming down the street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, whom I could ask for help. Sure enough within one minute, a friendly gal took my challenge, (though she had to get her own corkscrew), then sat on my stoop and helped me drink the wine. Now weeks later, she is joining my woman’s financial/support group. I had a year of rejections piling up from women who rejected the concept, yet they were the winding way to get to the open door of a kindred spirit.

    • I really love this story Betty!! CLAPPING for you!!

      • Betty in Brooklyn

Haha, as a Brooklynite, I know you do!
I’m a Marie OG, and a proud owner of your first book, downloaded many computers ago. I sometimes miss that brick wall, tho. Sooooo New York. Of course your new digs are divine, as are you, inspiring me weekly. I have sent along your videos to many, many people through the years-and this one is going out to a writer.

  45. The reframe of the how to a love a job you are only doing to pay the bills! More on this please!

  46. I loved the reframe around rejection. Such good advice on staying motivated and “eating rejection for breakfast”
    – Thanks Marie.

  47. Marie, you’re way too awesome. I’m going to just throw it out there, I’m really looking forward to be interviewed by you in 2018.
Ps. I’m ok with you starting my rejection list.

  48. Totally amazing — what a lovely episode, so much soul! I also happen to love it visually (since that’s what I do in life) — all the pastel colors and the confetti <3

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Thanks, Victoria! Pastels really do make a room feel like it’s full of sunlight. 🙂

  49. Anna

Oh WOW! This was the first video I watched from you after landing on your page from Vienda Maria…. And now 5hours later im down this magical black hole of wisdom. Thank you so much!

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

That’s AWESOME, Anna! We appreciate you tuning in and are so glad you’re enjoying MarieTV! <3

  50. Laura

Hi Marie and crew. Nina’s question at the end really resonates to me but my situation is slightly different: I got a 9-5 job offer to be a customer experience copywriter on a fintech company that is becoming more and more present internationally. The paycheck is not that great but I can surely live with it. Plus the company offers a lot of benefits to the employes. I, in the other hand, work from home for two companies as a freelancer and the amount of money I make is pretty great for this moment in my life.

The question is: should I give up on freelancing and accept this job opportunity to build a career on my professional field or should I just stick to my current situation to save money and perheaps a year from now invest on my own business? For the record, my work field is digital marketing and I graduated last year.

I don’t know what to do cause I have this amazing opportunity to make money doing things I really like while working from home but I’m afraid I would miss the chance to have an amazing company listed on my resumé and all the experience that comes with it. :S Any thoughts? If anyone reading this have some thoughts on this topic I would love to hear from it. 🙂

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

This is such a great question and we’d love for you to submit it for consideration for the next call in show! We’ll be announcing future call in shows and how to submit Qs via the MarieTV newsletter, so if you’re not subscribed you’ll want to click Get Started in the navigation at the very top of the page.

You’re also welcome to submit this question for consideration for a future Q&A Tuesday episode (the regular question and answer style Marie has been doing for years now). If that’s something you’d like to do, email us at infoATmarieforleoDOTcom and we’ll be happy to help!

  51. Laura

I would love to hear it***

  52. Becky

    #win 🙂
Loved this. Nina’s question really resonated with me.
    Your reply resonated even more.
    Thanks for all you do.
Looking forward to the next Live Q&A session.

  53. What a great show! I loved it. You most helpful tips for me are:
    1. Know your priorities
    2. Time chunk your day
    3. Don’t respond to people immediately
Lastly, OMG! As I was watching, I had been writing in my spiral bound, college rule notebook, making my to do list for tomorrow with my little boxes that people make fun of! Thank you for validating my old school method.
You are a powerhouse of knowledge and clarity.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom and enthusiasm.

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Old school rocks! As the old saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” 🙂

  54. I absolutely loved this new live episode! I’m always blown away by how intuitive Marie is, especially live – in B-School and now here – I can’t wait for the next one! Keep it comin’!!

  55. I really feel I need to congratulate you and all your team! You are an inspiration I watch all your episodes and find great value! I come from a small but wonderful worldwide loved country, Greece, I am a self made woman enterpreneur, celebrating 30 successful years of my market research agency, being a single mother of a beautiful, talented daughter who is a soprano, an opera singer. In January I will have my first book published, a self development book and I am now taking my masters degree in person centered psychotherapy, feeling in my gut a new career coming up in my 60s! Please keep up the brilliant work that you do, inspiring people to dare be themselves as you always inspire me! Lots of love and kisses from our sunny blessed Mediterranean country ❤️❤️❤️

  56. Jen

Best Marie tv ever! Just loved all the chunks of goodness in this episode guys! Thanks for doing what you do 🙂

  58. Marie,

I never comment, but i love to listen to your material. I’ve just started doing something new and it is changing everything about the way i work. I began watching an episode of Marie TV every morning before and it changes everything about my day. My purpose, my focus, my positivity. Thank you for what you do.

    • Mandy - Team Forleo

Love it, Zahra! And thank you for commenting––you’re always welcome to share anytime you like and we’re glad you’re a part of our beautiful community.

  59. Terese

BEAUTIFUL episode. Thank you to all of you who called in. Rejection is Gods protection.. wow.
I’ll keep on moving forward and my day will also come.

This format is fabulous!! I love hearing other peoples stories, and the magic of them having this Ah-HA right in front of our eyes just proves your skill and magic to touch people’s hearts and minds for their life. Please do this AGAIN and AGAIN!
Your fun personality shows through and helps the ebb and flow of a conversation. Your side candy is fun too.

    • Heather- Team Forleo

We’re so glad you love the format, Vanessa! It’s a bit of Marie Magic and we’re glad more people get to see it in this format. As for Greg, he is such a gem and we love him around here too 🙂
Thanks so much for watching. xo

  61. Wow this is one of the best live Q&A’s I ever saw 🙂
There’s so much that I struggle with that was discussed: rejection (I just wrote a post on my blog about that one by the way, featuring the Marie TV episode with Tim Ferris!),… and struggle with time between my creative business and my day job…!
And also I relate to what was said about Bschool being so valuable for everything in life. I did it in 2016 and again in 2017 and being “in between” starting and growing now I experienced new values in it.
    Keep on the good work!

    • Heather- Team Forleo

*High Five Awesome B-School Barbara*! Lifetime access truly does make a difference because you can always look at the content from a difference time and place in your business. We LOVE hearing that. Thanks for letting us know!

  62. Hi Marie and Team Forleo!
Yesterday I took the time to send in my first ever comment, and the power went out when I pressed send! So I’m trying again today!
Thank you so much for all your amazing content and never ending positivity. I was introduced to you by a friend a couple of years ago and have since become a B-Schooler and an avid Marie TV watcher. Most mornings I have my breakfast and coffee with an episode that I think will help me that day, and if it’s a morning that I’m feeling down I watch an episode for sure to get me outta my funk!
So I’ve been trying to implement just two of your amazing suggested habits so I can get my jewelry business on the road to thriving. Meditating for 10 minutes in the morning and taking those five minutes at night to plan my next day. Last night I planned for today, and on it is breakfast and coffee with Marie 🙂
This call in show really showed how amazing it is that even though we are all involved in different business ventures our questions and their answers can serve us all. So thank you again so much for all your insight and all the insights of the amazing guests you converse with.
Fun Side note: When I was a kid we used to have dinner at our friend’s house and often after a wonderful meal we would retire to the living room to play a game of Fictionary, yes Fictionary! All that is required for play is a dictionary, pieces of paper, pens and your awesome friends. One player finds a word in the dictionary that no one in the group knows the meaning of. Everyone then makes up a dictionary sounding definition for the word and writes it on a piece of paper. The player with the dictionary writes the official definition on a piece of paper as well and then collects the others and reads them all out. Everyone then tries to figure out what the correct definition is…so much fun, so many laughs, hope you try it!
So much love, appreciation and respect, Sienna Estes

    • Heather- Team Forleo

Sienna, you just affirmed Marie’s making up word talent and that is amazing. Thank you 😉 Having breakfast and coffee with MarieTV is an extra special way to start your day and we’re so honored that you spend that kind of time with us in your life. What a gift.
Good luck growing your jewelry business and bringing your dreams to life. We’re sending you all the best vibes. xo

  63. I loved all of this so much! The idea of having a test period for hiring employees is brilliant. I had never thought about doing a paid project first. Love this idea! Also, it was a great reminder that the secret to success is to not give up and letting your viewers know that you consider yourself a turtle– slow and methodical. I always enjoy how real you are. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. I can’t wait for your next book!

  64. Astounding – one of the best Marie TV shows ever. The live Q&A adds another dimension and gives so much more. And the “adult” language – bring it on! The more of the real you the better. Many thanks.

  65. Katherine

    Dam Marie

That was bomb. I love you.
I am stuggling with the enough and how I want to show up in the world. But def sick of people selling million dollar dreams and you end up with shit you could google.
I joined a mastermind that I am still trying to pay off and was left with what I feel is not much progress.

  66. I was just reading about time chunks! Okay Madame Universe, I hear you!
Also… I love Confetti Greg, and also smurf cups. And straws. This was awesome! Thank you!!

  67. Marie,

I LOVED the live call in show. I watched it all.

    Katie xoxoxoxox

  68. This episode is a #winner indeed. So many great Q’s & A’s, all of them insightful and beneficial. More please !!
    Love you guys ?

  69. Vivian

Drop the mic, Marie! I was thinking “where is the pulpit??” by the end of this Q&A! I loved this live show so much and thank you for doing it! I gained so much insight in an hour and is so good to know the struggles I go through are shared by others. Hearing these questions and answers live made me connect with the show and experience it on a more personal level. The wisdom nuggets were tremendously valuable and I will keep them close to me.

Much respect to you and your awesome crew for keeping the light bright and inspiring me to live more bravely.

    • Heather- Team Forleo

Vivian, you are for sure not alone. Just keep taking forward steps of action and trust your intuition- it will always steer you in the right direction. Sending you a BIG Smurf hug.

  70. Benson Modie

    Wonderful……thank you !!

  71. As always, AMAZING, Marie! The whole episode was great. Great Qs and great As. But this last answers from you was just what I needed to hear. I’m going through a situation very similar to Nina. I also got redundant and was actually happy about it. I thought to myself: now, I’m finally going to have time to start my business, to get my ideas off the paper. But then, with all the money and time I had on hand, I ended up losing my focus. I studied, graduated in Coaching, I traveled a lot, spent time with my family overseas… And then, when the time was up, the money was gone and I had to come back to real life, I realised I didn’t create much. So I’m doing some casual work in Hospitality because that gives me flexibility to keep working on my biz, but I can’t help but blame myself sometimes for not investing more in the business when I had the time and money to do so. I know blaming won’t take me anywhere and it’s the last thing I need right now, but sometimes it’s just hard not to. And I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for being so real in this online business world and so kind at the same time! You’re the best!

  72. Terese

I am a relentless motherfucker! haha. I LOVE IT

  73. Dasha

Marie, I totally loved this new format of your show!

What I loved most is the real emotions of your interviewees and of you, guys, of course 🙂 I found very useful your advice about ”masks” we put on when feeling not very confident about being yourselves, especially at the beginning of our business journey. I can relate to this so much. Especially because I do a lot of copy writing in my business (I write in Russian), and people really feel if I am confident and I sound like really me through my text and when I pretend to be someone else.
Thank you again for the new format and hope to watch a new episode soon :)!

  74. Really loved this call in episode and found it valuable! Great to see Marie sharing her tips and insights LIVE in this new format- I felt she was on a real roll and though I am a Bschooler and long time follower it felt great to refresh ideas I have learned from her and to hear her instinctive responses and suggestions being individualized as I could relate to each caller in different ways. Can’t wait for the next call show!! Maybe I will have a question??!!!

    • Heather- Team Forleo

Well, Christine, you can always join us for the Alumni Office Hours calls during B-School in March and ask your question of Marie then. We’d love to have you and your perspective giving value to the amazing Alumni community.

  75. LOVE this live session! Nina’s question resonates the most with me in terms of her feeling that taking a job would mean abandoning her dreams. When Marie mentioned about how structure can be good and maybe something that we need it was like ding! ding! ding! This made me realize and admit that I totally needed structure and that fixed work hours would most likely work in my favour, given my easily distracted personality. I perform the best with schedule and routine and a 9-5 job provides me that, other than the pressure to stay focused on my dreams, which can be worked on during after work hours and weekends. I tend to procrastinate and waste time instead of getting things done. Although I don’t feel the financial pressure like Nina as I do not have kids to support, a steady job can provide me extra money that can be used on my passion. Voila! So obvious yet so difficult and confusing it is to think about, until you hear Marie explain it to you. ? Thank you Marie! You just made my head clearer now. Keep it up team!

  76. “I eat rejection for breakfast” haha I got overwhelmed by rejection a few days ago, and it was only the 3rd job that turned me down!! (94 rejections would have a person well trained for sure!) The best part of the episode for me was hearing your everlasting advice that “life’s rejections are God’s protections”- I was turned down for 3 jobs that I didn’t even want, and when I got the news from job #3 I got SO upset… like, ugly cried, hard! (something I don’t do very often, so it was realllll ugly LOL ) When I took some me time and dug a lil deeper, I recognized that I applied for those jobs with the fear of failing as an entrepreneur in the back of mind and at the front of my heart. My emotions got the best of me, and I gave up on myself, but only for a little tiny bit, like 3 days lol… but I’m back! I am ALSO mother fucking relentless, I know I can trip but won’t fall, I allow myself to feel that energy, and I choose to get up and keep going! I choose me, I choose happy. Thanks for this episode Marie, it was inspiring, refreshing as hell, and Greg is a hottie bagotti so it was easy to watch <3

    • Heather- Team Forleo

Looking back at WHY you reacted the way you did is a really important step, Leona. Reflection is such an important part of any journey, especially that of an entrepreneur. Well done!

  77. Barry Hall

    Hi Marie,
great Q & A Maria TV. Really enjoyed it. – Barry.

  78. Lenka

OMG..Thank you!!All I wanted to know in one epissode.Love you!

  79. Hi Marie and Team Forleo! I’m a longtime viewer and fan of MarieTV. Just wanna say that this Live Call-In Show format is a huge success, and it BETTER be a regular show alongside your long-running episodes 😀 I think it’s successful not only because of the value you deliver to the audience via answering the Qs, but because it’s so great to see you and the team come alive in a live, spontaneous setting. It inspires the audience and creates a sense of connection. Thanks so much for launching this format, and I look forward to more of it!

    • Hailey - Team Forleo

Thanks so much for the kind words, Edi! We’re so glad you enjoyed tuning-in to our live-call in show this week and getting a behind-the-scenes-peek at the process. We had a blast watching too and we’re looking forward to sharing more episodes like this in the future. We’re so grateful to have you in our vibrant community!

    • Totally agree!

  80. Shawn Davis

    Hey Marie and Team!
Totally LOVED this episode! I connected with each question…I’ve been working my business for several years and have found myself at each crossroad that was mentioned. I’m actually doing the job thing like the last caller, only I did and do keep a clear view of the fact that I can, do and will continue to work my dream.
I scrolled to the bottom but did not see the links to the MarieTV episodes you mentioned during each call as a great reference and review of more helpful insight. Where can I find the EXACT episodes you mentioned. I really need to create that list, and I think you mentioned something about a stress journal?
    I need to implement 🙂
    Thanks for such great programming.

  81. Anna

    Dear Marie, dear Team,
over here in Berlin it`s half past 10 in the morning… Havin started the day struggling with my focus and motivation I`m so glad to have decided to watch & listen to you and the people you talked to. The burst of positive energy you drive through the screen, your authenticity and lived-knowledge in all you say and transmit is so encouraging! I literally feel lifted up and energized. Overall it makes me feel being connected to people that are on a similar track with similar struggles, questions and obstacles… A heartfelt THANK YOU for who you are and what you do and give from the other side of the world from another “turtle” ! Love & Love again, Anna

  82. Pam

Marie!! You rock girlfriend!! I’ve followed your work for years and love all that you bring to the world and seeing you live addressing the questions was wonderful! I resonated very deeply with the last caller and was jumping up and down in my heart with excitement for how uplifting and encouraging you were. REFRAMING is so powerful! Thanks Marie!

  83. Dewi

    Mama Marie,
Always be lighten-up after listening your lecture. Following your video library every tuesday, I am very curious about the font and color (for the design) that you’re using (or Marie’s team) use, since it’s really beautiful and catchy. It’ll mean a lot for me that still learn to do content designing.

*P.S : I can’t wait to buy and read Marie’s new book. Read the first one over and over as life guide 🙂

  84. KG

LOVE the live call-in shows. Hope you’ll be doing more of these in the near future for us!!

  85. Dear Mary and Crew,
honestly, this is a great show. I haven’t seen time pass by.
You totally succeed in offering an apparently classical show and yet making it so forever interesting. How talented of you guys. Thank you for your hard work, thank you for our good times with you, and answering again and again our doubts and fears,
    Lili B

  86. Samantha C.

I am new to MarieTV and am excited as I explore all that you have to offer. This is the second episode I watched and it resonated with me. The question I most related to was about working at a job even if it does not cater towards your creative desire.

I am 27 and work in the social work field. My position is fast-paced, high-stress and I’m constantly juggling numerous issues and having to make decisions that effect others’ lives. I so much enjoy helping people but this kind of job weighs on me by the end of the day.

Before social work, I received a degree in graphic design but it had not been fullfilling enough. It had not fed the side of me that likes to help people reach their potential and effect change.

As I get older and become more of an adult, especially with my current job, I feel like I’m becoming less of myself. Less creative. I’ve been struggling to figure out how I can mesh the two halves of me: the creative and the helper. Not knowing the answer has been stressful enough but I think I’m slowly discovering what it is to be a life coach and there may be something there..I would love to start my own business and incorporate my two halves and I’ve been trying to figure out my niche.

In the position I hold now, I am a supervisor. It was a matter that was unexpected and there was such a weight of responsibility and I worried that taking the position would stop my journey in trying to figure out what it is I’m really supposed to be doing. Who I really am. It’s been 8 months and I do still feel that way at times, especially when the demands/work-life boundaries pour over and I start to resent it. I’m having a hard enough time trying to add studying for the GREs into my routine and it is discouraging because I am then not sure how I could possibly have time/energy to obtain my Master’s with a position like this. Let alone have the time/energy to find myself and get my creativity back.

I will take this video and use it for inspiration though. I have been trying to remember that this job helps provide for me and my husband and our rescued ‘fur babies’. I know it is all about perspective and perseverance. But I think some of it too, is being kind to yourself and knowing when to take a break from almost ‘forcing’ things to fall in place. I have learned to be very disciplined the past 7 years due to certain life experiences and now have almost too much structure and planning. I almost don’t know how to relax anymore. I’ve lately been thinking I may need to hold off on school one more year so I can focus on me again: taking a weekly art class, leisurely reading, learning about meditation etc. I think I need to plan time for me and strategizing what my future looks like creatively– similar to what you told the one caller who is now workinf on his business. A piece of me worries though that if I don’t return for my Masters now, I’m solidifying my future at this job.

Your videos and website are so encouraging and motivating and they help me remember who I am and that I can get there. My dad always said I was an ‘animal’ because I work hard for what I want and don’t quit. Your inspiration is helping me find that again so thank you so much for everything.

    • Anna

      Dear Samantha,
in terms of getting back in touch with your creativity, I highly recommend the book ” The artist`s way” by Julia Cameron!
      All the best for you!
      Love, Anna

      • Samantha C.

        Hi Anna,
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I really do appreciate it and it will be sure to check it out!

      • Samantha C.

Anna, I wanted to let you know that I bought ‘The Artist’s Way’ this past weekend. I also bought ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ because it seemed inspiring. Imagine my amazement when I saw that Elizabeth Gilbert had a featured review on the back cover of ‘The Artist’s Way’ stating that it was HER inspiration. What are the chances? (: I am excited to read these 2 books.

        • Dear Samantha, I am so happy to hear that you are in the company of these two books now! Thank you for letting me know, I really do appreciate that !
“The Artist`s Way ” will- I am so convinced about that- give you inspiration, guidance and tools to get back in touch with your precious creativity and to get it out and live it in every aspect of your life. I think I know, hand on heart, what you are struggling with as I felt stuck in quite the same situation as you feel to be in. Coincidentally I listened to an interview on the radio by then with an artist I admire here in Germany. She talked about her own tough times and how this book got & still gets her back on track. And here it goes… I bought it and now you did. Brilliant!
Would love to hear from you once you got into and through this powerful book !
Have a wonderful christmas dear Samantha! Big hug from Berlin, Anna

  87. Sara

Loved it!! Keep them coming!! 😀

  88. Hazel

All the questions and answers were so useful but I want to highly recommend Marie’s interview with Bryce Dallas Howard if you’re an artist / writer (or anyone constantly facing rejection). I found it so useful and now consider every rejection as a step on the path to where I want to go. I know that if I keep working and keep putting things out there and learning from every rejection then one day those steps will take me to the place I want to go. It helps to not think of it as rejection but as part of the process.

  89. This episode was fun! I’m surprised by the deep AND insightful answers Marie is able to give to “random” questions. Congratulations! Are you planning to do more episodes like this next year?

    • Jillian - Team Forleo

Miriam, we’re thrilled that you connected with this episode! We loved it too, and we’ll definitely be ear-marking another date for a ‘call-in show’ in the future. Thanks for being here!

  90. Ana

I would love some input on how to manage my time better. I homeschool in the morning, repair sewing machines, teach sewing, make custom ideas, and make my own line of bags. It’s a juggle but must be done. Can your recommend an video or books to help me keep it all together. Multi passionate business person

  91. I declare this episode a BIG WIN as well. Though folks may not be in the exact place as your callers there seems to always be one piece you can resonate with! I am going to admit a little secret; when I need some refocusing or motivation, I binge witch the items you send to my email. This kind of qualifies as a binge watch as it covered a spectrum of issues. As always thank you all for all you do! All the folks at Marie TV ROCK!

    • Donna Hesleph

      * watch, though witch might be appropriate.

      • Mandy - Team Forleo

That’s so great to hear, Donna! It means the world to us to know that Marie’s wisdom can be a source of inspiration and encouragement. We appreciate you.

  92. Hi. I Just Want To Say: Thank You…
    This Is Great Article.

  93. This was really interesting viewing. First time i’ve visited your site – I only meant to watch a couple of minutes but ended up engaged in the whole thing. Good job!

  94. I just loved this episode so much! I’ve been a B-Schooler since 2014 and I’ve stayed on the perimeter in lots of ways, not listening to calls, etc, and this year I’m ready to go much deeper. Watching this episode got me so excited for the upcoming live class in March! Such a joy to watch. Thank you all.

  95. Barbera

    Hi team Marie,
    These live shows are great!
I mostly listen to your podcasts (yes, i miss the entertaining videos but at it makes it possible to listen to most of your advise and interviews during my commute) and this one brought tears to my eyes after hearing the last question of Nina.
Yes, it is possible to pursue your dreams while also have a job to pay your bills. And that job can be fulfilling even though you are working on other dreams. So the action I got from this is to plan a few hours per week to take small steps to my dream.
Thank you and to your team!

    • Hailey - Team Forleo

Thanks so much for your kind words, Barbera! We’re thrilled that you’ve been enjoying the MarieTV podcast on your commute and that Nina’s question resonated so deeply with you. As she’s shared previously, Marie worked several “day jobs” while supporting her growing business, and as we’ve learned from MarieTV interviews with successful entrepreneurs, artists, and authors over the years– truly incredible things can be accomplished in just a few hours a week! As Marie often reminds us, it’s about “progress, not perfection”, and we’re all cheering you on as you take the next steps toward your dreams.

  96. I just love and adore you and I love that you give us real pieces and time with YOU. It really is such a beautiful gift and reminds me that when you shine you give other permission to do the same – thank you for being my light right this minute.

  97. AN outstanding episode! I teach my graduate students the same concepts — one MUST plan your days and weeks by living out of your calendar. Endless lists just don’t work.

  98. Fantastic Q & A. Some if not all the questions resonated with me in some way. It was a confident booster and extra fuel to ignite my ever burning flame. Can not wait for the next one…. p.s. website is in the works 😀

  99. Hi dear friend
You have a very good site

  100. thank you for this

  101. I just loved this episode so much!

  102. This Is Great Article.

  103. Shubhangi

Very helpful show. For sure, gonna implement some new advices. One more thing, I have to say ; I watch your shows again n again and everytime I fnd them new and effective.

    Big thanks & love

  104. OMG, this was amazing!
    How did I miss it???
I got to see other MarieTV episodes that I’ve missed.
    Pausing G-mail inbox is BLISS!!!
Amazing insight that I can look to hire someone who is more of a manager of the business, because I’m definitely the creative one in my business – ugh, I thought that only I can be the manager, what a relief… : )
Yesssssss, me too, I make up words – and I LOOOOVE it lol
Also, I found my STRESS (things are not moving as fast as I thought it would) and found my 3 SOLUTIONS (acknowledge eery day the gratitude that I’m in the 8th year of business; instead of measuring the progress level, to make my consistency a metrics of my success; focus on building the business and myself as a human, every day)

  105. This was an awesome and inspirational session. The advice is great. I like the set. It’s bright, airy, and is like an artist’s studio. Greg does a great job as Marie’s beauty consultant. She looks great. So, no, this is not a bull shit show. It’s great support for people.

I loved this! I actually got teary at the part where you were talking to the mom about how what she is doing to be the best mom she can be for her kids is so commendable. For me, as a stay home mom of 3, who has tried and failed many times to start a business, I’ve felt like a failure, like I’m not living into my purpose and somehow I’m letting the Universe down. I loved how you said that it’s OK to be slow, and do things in a way that is comfortable and works for you and your family. I’m going to apply that mindset, combined with your advice to the 1st caller about blocking and planning out your time, to my life, and slowly work away at my own pace that works for me and my family. Thank you Marie!

  107. I have to watch this video again because their were so many gems. I’ve usually plan my day the night before but now I will allot a set time, although with some wiggle room, for my tasks. I love Marie’s accidental word optimating for operating at optimal levels (41:33). I feel like the stress log will be especially useful to get past overwhelm. And the part about how we can create a habit out of asking others for feedback and instead to train ourselves to make decisions and act without others feedback was great. Thanks for all this awesome information.

  108. This was so moving! Not only are there so many great nuggets of wisdom (thank you for the inspiration and reminders that are getting my butt moving!) but also loved the connections with the callers. Thank you Marie and Forleo team for everything that you do <3

  109. Marie,

I love the part where you talk about your irrational fear when starting your business because I have those same exact fears and I do want to go into life coaching. My issue is that I’m also goofy, I’m a comedian as well as an aspiring life coach and professional speaker. I’m facing this same issue right now but it gives me courage to see that you are a successful life coach because you’re also a creative thinker.. Thank you

  111. That’s so great to hear, Donna! It means the world to us to know that Marie’s wisdom can be a source of inspiration and encouragement. We appreciate you.

  112. Hi!
I have been getting your e-mails for some time, and watching them slowly. I love watching MarieTV, but don’t always see what I can take from it. But, this episode was GREAT!
I have been (still am) questioning whether I am going in the right direction and am slowly teaching myself not to compare myself to others. But it was SO good to hear that you (Marie) got to where you are after a long time. It brings me hope and lightens my heart.
    Thank you

  113. Thanks for your nice article
    Good luck
