Content Producer

In this role, you’ll drive, architect, and lead multiple production projects which include our award-winning show MarieTV, The Marie Forleo Podcast, our legendary online education programs, and various other media projects (webinars, photoshoots, etc.).

The ideal candidate for this role will know how to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly to all stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the VP of Business Operations to ensure that production strategy aligns with overall company goals. You’ll also be expected to develop new strategies in order to increase the overall efficiency of our team and processes.  

This is a full-time position that is mostly virtual, but also requires frequent in-person work at our Soho production studio in New York City.

What You’ll be Doing In this Role:
• Innovating, strategizing, and creating captivating content for MFI, including MarieTV, The Marie Forleo Podcast, our dynamic online education experiences, and other digital products. You’ll lead the charge on marrying the voice, tone, and creative spark behind each piece of the editorial strategy
• Spearheading the sourcing and coordination of high profile guests that highlight impactful voices that resonate with our audience across platforms
• Expanding YouTube and podcast followings through channel and episode optimization. This includes staying ahead of trends, anticipating algorithmic shifts, and mastering best practices to foster an engaged community
• Overseeing audience insight data and dissecting performance metrics to identify and push forward strategic growth opportunities
• Composing SEO enhanced titles, tags, headlines, and thumbnails that command attention. You’ll also be directing A/B split testing that elevates our YouTube strategy
• Ensuring the seamless alignment of our editorial and production calendars, while meticulously checking for quality assurance and the timely delivery of content
• Spearheading pre-production efforts by sourcing production crews, schedules, locations, and equipment. You’ll also ensure flawless equipment operation and oversee the testing of cameras, tapeless media, microphones, lights, video monitors, and related equipment
• Supervising production crew; this spans hiring, budgeting, and in-studio management during shoots including but not limited to directors, sound engineers, editors, videographers, producers, and photographers
• Overseeing post-production process including storyline, overall tone, music selection, editing, and additional effects
• Curating and producing customer testimonials that illuminate the transformative impact of our products
• Other duties as assigned

• You have excellent organizational abilities and pay attention to every detail, dotting every “i” and crossing every “t”
• You get a lot of satisfaction from seeing a project through from start to finish, cheering your team along every step of the way
• You have a sense of humor

Necessary Skills:
• 5+ years experience as a senior producer, executive producer, or line producer with a creative background
• You’re exceptionally skilled at creating high-quality shows and growing audiences (YouTube, podcast, etc.)
• You have video and podcast production experience
• You’re located the continental United States, and can regularly and easily commute to our studio in SoHo
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
• A solid understanding of technology and using it to manage the creation of content for digital formats, including capabilities and/or confidence with WordPress, Rev, Vimeo, YouTube, Zoom, AWS, Dropbox, Libsyn, and GoogleDrive
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, scheduling, and prioritization abilities
• Confident, clear, and friendly verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and critical-thinking capability
• Ability to be highly adaptable and be agile as needed in a fast-paced production environment
• Attention to detail
• Experience working remotely preferred
