Colleen Saidman Yee: The First Lady Of Yoga

Every summer for nearly ten years now, I have a ritual I look forward to. It’s nothing fancy or complicated.

Just a simple practice that’s introduced me to new ideas, new people and — most often — to new parts of myself.

That ritual is taking yoga class with an extraordinarily gifted woman named Colleen Saidman Yee, author of the new book Yoga For Life.

For me, her classes are transcendent. I laugh. I sweat. I cry. (Not always in that order.)

Allow beauty and sadness to touch you. This is love, not fear. @colleensaidman Click To Tweet

Inevitably, I walk away from my time with Colleen stronger in my humanity, more loving towards my body and softer in my heart.

Often, I find myself trying to remember insights and fresh ideas that always seem to download into my consciousness out of nowhere when I’m in her class. That’s why I’m so very thrilled to introduce you to her today.

If you ever struggle with feeling crushed under the weight of trying to be perfect, fulfill all of your responsibilities and stay in touch with the sweetness of life, I think you’ll truly enjoy this episode.

Healthy Or Not: 5 Surprising Health Foods You Shouldn’t Eat

Today is the last day of a 14 day detox I’ve been on.

Don’t worry, it wasn’t anything crazy like a  “drop 20 pounds in a week” kind of thing.

Josh put us on it to help us cleanse our livers and reboot our bodies after a fun and indulgent summer.

Now I know food is a highly controversial topic and many people have strong views on what you should and shouldn’t eat.

My guest today is no exception. And you may not agree with all of what she shares.

It’s not about being perfect, it’s about awareness and making better choices. @thefoodbabe Click To Tweet

But the real reason she’s on the show has nothing to do with food.

This MarieTV fan is a true inspiration. She’s taken the strategies and ideas we talk about each week and put them into action.

You know how I say that the world needs that special gift that only you have?

Well, this gal took that to heart and quit her cushy, six-figure job and launched not only a new business, but a brand new life.

In addition to hearing her story, you’ll also learn about five surprising health foods you shouldn’t be eating.

What Is Tapping? Learn EFT with Nick Ortner, Author of The Tapping Solution

I’m still riding a sweet TV high from Sunday night.

The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones both had big nights (one season finale and one season premiere, respectively) and I was really happy to indulge in a little popcorn break.

That’s because since the car accident a few weeks ago, things have felt a bit more intense than usual.

Which brings me to today’s very special MarieTV episode.

You see, I’ve known about this topic for years — and even heard great things about it from many people I trust. But honestly, I was still skeptical.

If you’re angry about something, feel rejected, or helpless, tap on it now. @NickOrtner Click To Tweet

That’s until our car wreck gave me a big reason to dig in and really test it for myself.

You see, the stress, psychological trauma and after-effects of that crash simply could not be cleared by traditional means.

I know that millions of people around the world swear by EFT’s effectiveness — and if you don’t already know what it is or how it works, you’re in for a treat.

Whether you have trauma from a past event, or simply a lot stress affecting your energy, results and joy — this episode is a must watch.

Working Moms: How to Balance Being a Great Mom w/ Growing Your Business

Now THIS is a topic I’ve been itching to cover for a long time. In fact, I’ve gotten countless emails, questions and comments about it . . .

But here’s the problem. I’m not fully qualified to address it.

To be fair, I do have some experience in this department, as you’ll hear, but it ain’t nothing compared to what some of you are working to navigate each and every day.

Here’s just a sample of what inspired today’s episode:

New moms, don’t victimize yourself. Learn to shift from “woe is me” to “WOW is me!” @GlowMaven Click To Tweet

“Yeah…all this advice is great Marie, but what if I have a newborn baby at home? Do you have any tips for us working moms?”

“Marie, I love your productivity advice, but I’m pregnant and about to become a single mom. Got anything specific for me?”

“What if my husband doesn’t support my business dreams and he’s the main breadwinner? He wants me to focus on taking care of the baby, but I want more out of my life. HELP!”

If you’re a new mom, or dad, and you’re trying to balance being the best parent you can be with creating a business and life you love, today’s episode of MarieTV is made especially for YOU.
