How To Set Boundaries: Be Generous Without Being A Doormat

Do you ever feel like you’re giving so much — to the point that you’re being taken advantage of?

Popular refrains like, “It’s better to give than to receive” might start ringing in your head, urging you to keep on giving.

Only say yes to the things you’re willing to do joyfully. Click To Tweet

On the other hand, that old airplane oxygen mask analogy does make a valid point.

In case of an emergency, put on your own oxygen mask first — otherwise, you won’t be able to help others.”

This tug of war between selfless service and self-preservation can be an uncomfortable tension to untangle. But here’s the good news.

Is Your Kindness Viewed As Weakness?

For the longest time, I felt like such an imposter in the business world.

I’m really goofy. I take things personally.

That’s my DNA.
