Should You Put Your “Real” Personality Into Your Brand?

Do you ever feel torn between different parts of your personality —  especially when it comes to how you represent yourself in the world?

After all, we humans have multiple personalities, so to speak. At different times we can be humorous, inspirational, sarcastic, kind, angry, authoritative, blunt, poetic, direct, friendly and a million other things too.

Whether you write (a blog, book, newsletter, social media updates, articles, etc.) or speak publicly on behalf of your company, it’s important to consciously choose the tone and language you use to communicate your message.

But with all these different parts of your identity, how do you choose which voice to use out in the world? And is it really wise to show your real personality in a professional setting?

This is the topic we’re diving into today on MarieTV. You’ll learn two simple keys to consciously choosing a genuine brand voice that best represents you, and helps you make the difference you were born to make.

The Future of Social Media Marketing w/ Gary Vaynerchuk

This is a big week!

My favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, is in two days. Plus, I’m test driving a new recipe for one of my favorite foods — mashed potatoes.

After some extensive research, I learned the perfect mashies are both an art and science. I’ll post pics of my experiment on Instagram and Facebook, so be sure to join me there.

Today, though, I’m serving up a true feast for your mind, heart and business. The one and only Gary Vaynerchuk, author of Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook, is on the show today and let me tell you, this man does not disappoint.

Everything else can be bought, but your caring can’t. @garyvee Click To Tweet

Networking Basics: 8 Tips to Networking Without Being Fake

As I sit here typing away, I’ve got my big green fuzzy socks on: a true sign that fall is finally here.

I’m not sure why autumn is such a busy season for events, but it is.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be speaking at three different conferences, then hosting our own sold out shindig, RHH Live, at Donna Karan’s gorgeous Urban Zen center the last week in October.

Most of us have heard the saying, “It’s not what you know, but who you know.”

While I don’t entirely agree with that statement, I wholeheartedly agree that strong relationships make a huge difference to the speed and satisfaction of your success.

And attending live events is a fantastic way to build your network and make connections.

The problem is, many of us can’t stand the idea of networking. It feels fake and contrived. And if you’re an introvert, fuggettaboutit.

How To Be More Persuasive: 8 Tips For Authentic Influence

Before we get into today’s episode, a quick share.

Today is really special for me. I’m about to pick up my team for a multi-day retreat near my home in Sag Harbor.

Everyone has traveled out to the east end of NY so we can intentionally plan out the next 12 -18 months in our company.

I also LOVE to cook for people I love, so it’s really special for me to have my team in one place (we’re a 100% virtual company), so I can whip up some healthy and outrageously delicious food for them while they’re here!

If you want to persuade people in a genuine & authentic way, you must lead with your heart. Click To Tweet

What could be better than strategically mapping out our mission to make the world a better place over organic chips with garden fresh guacamole and basil corn pesto pasta? Not too much in my book.

But let’s get to today’s episode of MarieTV because I think you’re really going to love it.

Do you ever wish you could be more persuasive?

Whether it’s within a business context or your personal life (like getting your family on board with something you want), understanding how to influence others in a genuine and authentic way is an invaluable skill to have in life.

How To Stand Out From The Crowd

Do you ever wonder why some people and brands stand out from the crowd while others remain unknown?

What makes one person or business remarkable, while others all seem so “vanilla” and forgettable?

Nothing will kill your business faster than being lost in a crowd of sameys. Click To Tweet

I’m fascinated with this topic because, on the surface, many people appear to be selling the same kinds of products or services.

But as you know, there are always people and brands that rise above the rest and become leaders of their industry.

If you’ve ever wanted to be one of those people who stands out in a crowd, today’s episode of MarieTV is for you.
