Marie Forleo’s B-School 2016 Scholarship Recipients

OK, we were blown away by all incredible videos that came in for our 2016 B-School scholarship contest. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The sincerity, creativity and love you shared really inspired us all.

And, I also loved seeing the support that forms around the contest each year. Expressing genuine appreciation and encouragement for another’s dreams doesn’t cost a dime, yet it’s priceless in its impact.

We’ve watched over 1,000 entries and have made our selections for this year. Before I get to the recipients, I want to share a few things. But most importantly, I want you to hear this:

Your dreams aren’t made, or broken, by anyone but you.

You have wisdom within you that you can never learn in any textbook or classroom. You are creative and loved and divinely blessed with capabilities beyond what you can imagine.

Not receiving a scholarship to B-School, nor any other disappointment in life, can’t stop you, unless you let it.

And, I’ll love to continue to support you — week after week for free via MarieTV. We give our all to the show. We’re here to inspire you and provide encouragement, wisdom and tools to keep you moving ahead.

You are brave and beautiful, inside and out. You were born with everything you need to answer the call of your soul. Don’t ever forget it.

And, if you know you’re going to join us for B-School 2016, get registered now.

Procrastination is a dream killer. They say good things come to those who wait. I think greater things come to those who get off their ass and make things happen.

And now, without further ado, here are the 47 recipients of a 2016 B-School Scholarship.

Five Regrets of The Dying: Marie Forleo & Bronnie Ware

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an acute recognition of the relative shortness of our lives. It might have to do with my obsession with Zombie movies (I’ve loved them and watched them since I was a kid!), or perhaps it’s something a bit more primal.

I believe it’s wise for all of us to remember, and keep consistently in the forefront of our minds, that time is the most precious, non-renewable resource we have.

We’re all on the same train, heading to the same destination — death. We don’t know when our stop will come, but we do know this ride won’t last forever.

The more we can follow our heart, the louder it speaks. - Bronnie Ware Click To Tweet

That’s why I’m going to declare: no matter who you are or what age you’re at right now, this episode of MarieTV is a must watch.

Your future self will thank you for it.

Your kids, your parents, your loved ones, and your pets will thank you for it.

Don’t save it or archive it or skip it.

Should You Choose The Safe Career, Or Follow Your Dreams?

I was at dinner the other night talking with a friend about what’s happening in her career. She told me about a significant dilemma she recently faced, with high stakes (potential income, reputation, etc.) that involved either:

  1. trusting her gut, holding her ground and being willing to walk away from a crucial deal if it wasn’t right (compensation, contract, collaborative partners, etc.)
  2. saying yes to what was on the table out of her desire for security and work, even though she knew she wouldn’t feel good about it

After a non-stop series of earlier setbacks that shattered her confidence,

I could see how tough this was for her. It made me realize that we all face these kinds of crossroads in life, don’t we?

Whether it’s in our careers or our relationships, it often comes down to this…

Do I choose the safe path or the inspiring one?

How To Believe In Your Business When You Don’t Always Believe In Yourself

No matter what you’re focused on creating right now, I think you’ll appreciate today’s episode.

Because we’re tackling a question from a reader struggling with the daily battles of fear and self-doubt in her business. She’s wondering…

How do you keep selling your business (your products, services, ideas, mission, etc.) when you don’t feel fully confident in yourself?

Your attention’s like a flashlight. Shine it out on others, and you lose sight of your own fear. Click To Tweet

To be clear: this doesn’t just apply to business owners.

It applies to anyone who must share and express their ideas, their beliefs and their work in the world on a consistent basis.

Especially on days when your self-confidence is down in the dumps.

Since this is something I have personal experience with, I wanted to share a little trick that serves me well.
