Many of us know that we’re here to contribute, to help make the world a better place, but sometimes we get stuck feeling small and insignificant.

As though what we think and what we do doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

We mistakenly believe our time to really make an impact will come someday, when we start making more money. Or someday, when we’re more experienced and better known. Or the most elusive of somedays, when we’ll have more time.

Today, I want to remind you how powerful you are right now.

Because your time to change the world is here, in this moment. You don’t need anything more than the exact gifts and resources you already hold within you.

Both scientists and sages have told us what we already know to be true in our hearts: everything is connected. Therefore as we change, the world cannot help but change with us.

When you change your life, you really do change the world.

If you’re someone who wants to be a force for good starting right now, this special episode of MarieTV is for you.

I cannot stress the importance of seeing and sharing Half The Sky enough. The equality and empowerment of women and girls is truly the moral, economic and humanitarian issue of our time.

If you’re in the US, watch the two part film Half The Sky, streaming for free on PBS, October 3-9th, 2012.

If you’re outside of the US, watch free clips from the film, plus more on the official Half The Sky website.

No matter where you are, you can also grab the book or order the DVD from Amazon.

Now, let’s turn this inspiration into action.

In the comments below, I want to hear from you.

If you’re inspired to share the film or invite friends to watch it with you, go send those emails now, come back and tell me you’ve DONE IT in the comments.

Same thing with social sharing. Go share this with your network, then come back and tell me you’ve done it.

If you’re planning to watch the film on PBS, or read the book, choose a specific date and time you’ll sit down and complete it. Write it in your calendar now.

Studies show that when we commit to a specific date and time to complete a task vs. just saying, “yeah, I’ll totally do that,” we’re much more likely to follow through.

Of course, if there’s something else you’re inspired to share in the comments, please do.

As always, thank you so much for your time, your attention and the incredible gift of your loving spirit.

P.S.  Do you know someone (a sister, brother, friend, aunt, daughter) who really wants to make an impact in the world, but isn’t sure how? Please forward this post to them now.

With appreciation,
