"Here’s my sense of Marie’s unique and joyous coaching style: Marie doesn’t think you need to be fixed. She thinks you probably do know what you need, but may be hesitant to admit it to yourself. That’s where she comes in: she establishes an environment where you can reach inside, figure it out, trust your impulses, and get it done.
While working with Marie: I went through a lot: a new marriage, a move, leaving a job, taking my first improv comedy class, writing my first book proposal, writing my first sitcom script. She keeps you accountable, but not in an annoying way...she just makes sure that you remember your promises to yourself. She does this with a combination of phone coaching and e-mail coaching. I always looked forward to her phone calls, because she is a funny, energetic presence—as good as the best latte with extra espresso.
