Here’s a little pre-Valentine’s Day biz nugget for you. And yes, there’s more rapping.
Look. If you’re anything like me, you spend a lot of time with your business. Like a whooole lot.
Hour upon waking hour, you likely spend more time with your business than you do with your family or loved ones. That’s why it’s vital to ensure that you and your business maintain a hot and healthy relationship.
In this video, learn how to reignite the heat between the paper sheets, so to speak, and keep your relationship with your business smokin’ hot.
Now it’s your turn. How to do you make sure you and your business keep the passion alive?
Let me know in the comments below.

Awesome information! Love that you always have a fresh message to share that is uplifting and encouraging. Can’t agree more with you about communication, one of the most important issues in love and business.
Thank you Doreen and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Such a great video. I’ve been in a business for the last two years that just doesn’t light me up anymore and am making the necessary moves to close that chapter and start one that REALLY excites me!!! xo
thanks Stephenie – GOOD. I’m excited to help you with that
Hey Marie!
Ooooh, I love this topic – and love the perspective of looking at it like any other relationship. Makes total sense, especially since I spend so much time with my business!
Great tip about communication. That’s definitely something I can work on!!
Good for you Jess! The communication one (especially listening to what your business/customers/team are telling you) is the most important. Keep me posted!
This is sage advice and I like that you are able to say it in such a fun and direct way. I agree with all of your points – especially about the open communication. So important and not to be overlooked. Thanks! (Oh and the rapping – priceless!!!)
Ha ha – I LOVE that you love the rapping Theresa!!
Great message and analogy Marie! You have to recognize the things you mentioned and make good biz decisions when you see these going on. Def worth a tweet, share and like!
Much appreciated Roz!
My first coach (wow–seven+ years ago!) had an audio about meeting with your business and I can remember the first few times I set aside time to listen to it, I felt so silly. But setting aside that time to actually relate to my business made a huge difference then, and still does for me today. Thanks for these reminders, Marie!
Great video..lovin’ the biz nuggets! The analogy with relationships/business is a really good one and makes total sense! Thanks for sharing
Marie – isn’t it great how relationships and business intersect? Why, because they both involve people! I love how naturally you’re able to explain the synergy in like-like terms. Fabu biz nugget, baby! I will def be sharing with my peeps.
p.s. what skin care are you using? because you’re complexion is crazy fabulous. I just had to ask.
aloha, Jen
I don’t know what was up with this video, but you’re the third person commenting about the skin!! I think I just had a facial PLUS some really good lighting
I think it is that awesome plant-based CSD sweetie! I noticed it too and you look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
xo, Tina
Yeah, and being gorgeous in the first place doesn’t hurt either Marie!
I’ll admit it. This is the first time I’ve clicked through on your newsletter, since I’ve never considered myself part of your target audience. In fact, I was just about to unsubscribe.
However, this is the wisest, most adorable bit of advice I’ve heard in ages. You are truly one smart cookie, Marie, and I’m hooked.
Oh Elle – music to my ears. So glad to have you here and of course, very happy it was worth your click
Happy V Day!
I’m in a new (business) relationship – its scaring the pants off me, as well as being soooo exciting!
Shelley
OOOOkay…CYP… oh yeah, great advice.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
Marie, you always hit the nail on the head, what a great analogy. I am keeping this in mind as I take on new projects. I am dying to know your glowing skin secret, it always looks so fantastic on video!
Marie,
!!!
I like how you compare the business with relationship…well it’s so true though
Marie,
Thank you for the best Valentine I’ve received in a long time!
This is such an awesome video Marie!
Wow, you’re so pretty and I LOVE your jacket (cardigan?)
I love this whole Biz nugget theme – I’ve got to do something similar for my videos.
Not to mention – your so a great rapper
Thanks for mentioning that you have to move on from your business when you’ve lost the passion or perhaps even grown out of it. That was a great reminder.
P.S – I’ve been reading through the handout (your hand out) from the Tony Robbins Money Masters program. It is SO AWESOME. I feel I understand it more now that I’m following you as well.
You are SUCH a high achiever, and you’ve accomplished so much, it blows my mind!
Anyway, enough for now.
A surplus of gratitude,
Renee.
-XxX-
You have one lucky valentine lady!
I am working this year on having more fun in my business, in my writing and in my groups. Interestingly enough, also trying to have more fun with my guy, with my kids and with my life!!!!! It matches up.
Great biznugget & a Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!
Hey Marie it’s Angela and Rachel Anzalone – we were at RRH in November! We’re at a noisy coffee shop and can’t hear the biz nugget but we’re cracking up watching you! Too funny
Brilliantly said Marie! Like always – so fun to watch
True Dat! Awesome infomation as always Marie!
Hola Marie!!
Thanks so much for the biz nuggets!!!!!!!! I loved them!! I am going to def. share with my peeps!! xoxo
I think I actually have sex with my biz. It ful-fills me creatively! And my new MacBookPro is like a vibrator for the brain. Love the biz gadgets.
And love you too, Marie, you are precious and powerful – all in one candy wrapper.
Hi Marie,
I am graduating from Columbia University in approximately three months (eeeeek) and my sights are sent on entrepreneurship — I would absolutely LOVE to hear any advice you might have for recent grads just starting out. Hope this finds you well and looking forward to more biz nuggets!! xxx
I am loving this video and I can’t get enough of your hip-hop wisdom!!
I’m not gonna lie…I get school-girl giddy when I see your emails in my inbox every week…and your videos always kick-ass!
Marie, thank you for doing what you do with STYLE, HUMOR, and FUN! Love! xo
Awesome Marie! This one nailed it to a t. I love your videos each week. So inspiring. Keep up the great work and Happy V-day!
I get a ton of emails, and yours is the only one I must stop to pay attention to. Love what you have to say. Great time of year (Feb) to remind us about relationships. I’ve noticed with facebook I feel like I’m communicating with my peeps. Now that I’ve started a blog I feel like I’m talking at them. This sums it up perfectly. I need to focus on my relationship with them, and the relatinoship of them to my products. I think that will help shift the focus into something more useful for them, thanks. PS I too was trying to work out what so fabulously different about you, you were glowing with health and great skin
yes i liked your video
not sure if i want to treat my bussiness like my relationship at least my business does not talk back or hit
ha ha
Marie, I’m diggin’ the biz nuggets! You make me laugh (with joy!) sister. I love thinking of the biz relationship like any other relationship…gotta fan those flames!
Thanks as always…
Love and Sass,
Nisha
Nisha,
,
Your website is beautiful!
Jennifer
Aw, thanks Jennifer! xo
Very cool. Creative angle linking biz to relationships, and inspiring advice to help me in both. Aloha.
Marie, I was thinking about this very topic, I come to my computer and there you are in my inbox! Since RHH Live (which has changed my life in soooo many ways), I have a whole new set of fabulous entrepreneurial ladies to interact with and I feel like I’ve fallen in love with a bunch of their businesses, they’re all so fabulous and inspiring!! But I was telling myself today that I need to make sure I keep the romance going with my own biz because just because a hot biz walks by, I’m married to mine and I love it
Thanks for the reminder!!
Marie, great video, but a couple of years too late for me. Everything you listed as not to do, I already did and got raped by my business partner (figuratively speaking). Reliving that makes me wanna blow my brains out. Where have you been all my life????! Everyone else, take heed!!!! LOVE WHAT YOU DO!
Anyway, keep up the good work and tell Josh that Raphael was a punk (j/k)!
Love you to pieces,
Eddie
Great stuff Marie! Effective and authentic communication is most definitely the key to moving forward in any scenario X
Marie – Happy Valentine’s Day! And much appreciation for a great reminder, especially as I am on the verge of launching my business……all terrific tips to keep in mind now and going forward. keep ‘em comin!
Thanks, Marie.
Reminding us to do what we love rather than do in order to then love is a tough but important nudge.
A delicious Biz Nugget!
thanks Marie – great topic and very timely – as always – are you watching over my shoulder?? Happy Valentines DAy.
Maree
I try to make sure I spend time with the parts of my business that I love as much as possible. Just like a relationship with a person, there are things I like doing with my business and things, well, not so much.
So especially when I find myself getting frustrated with the day to day activities, I spend more time focusing on what I love about the business and delegate more of what I don’t like.
A very clever analogy Marie! I especially love the part about communicating openly with your customers. Such an important part of a successful biz!
Great video – as always!
Um, is it too much ask, but , uh – can you release that “Biz Nuggets” song on iTunes or something? Cuz, well, I like it…
Or not. Just a thought…
Awesome vid, Marie! Love the parallels
One of the most important things to me in my relationships is an element of challenge and education. My human partner and I have been together for 12 years now, and I still have no freaking idea how he works! He fascinates and surprises me every day, and I never get tired of being challenged to be an even better partner. (Well, okay. Sometimes I get tired of it. But never for very long.)
I’m new to the relationship with business, and I’m finding a lot of satisfaction in that same level of fascination and new learning.
Yes, CYP!! Thanks for this reminder!! It’s so true that when you hear/read/listen to people speaking their true passion it is infectious!! There is no special recipe for this! Marie, you speak your passion and your truth and it shows in everything you do!!
xo
Such a great video.Love the parallels.Keep going.
I currently get together with my girlfriend entrepreneur and we mastermind with each other about our businesses. Definitely helps to get a fresh take of where I’m going, where I’ve been and more stuff that needs to be taken care of!
